This is my favorite message therapy place for several reasons: 1) they are clean 2) they have online booking - it makes thing easier then calling in and go hey is so and so available and what day or whats your next avaiable appointment with .... and then .... 3) Downtown location 4) friendly therapist Peter is the owner of Aloe and I highly recommend him. He has this baby face and is such a darling. Talkative sometimes. the second on my list is Luis. They are very professional and they try their best to understand what part of your body needs the message. I go with the 45 mins because my plan has a cap and I am personally not sure how it works but I know if I go for the 1 hour one I will be paying part of it because its more then the national pricing. (not sure how they figured national pricing) Highly recommend this place. I have referred my sister over a bunch of other friends as well. Of course these friends all work downtown. I have been going to Aloe Massage Therapy over the last 6+ years and can't believe I haven't written a review sooner! I have always seen Peter, one of the owners, and he is amazing. He has a gentle demeanor and is a great listener and pays close attention to any issues you have and comes up with a plan to address them. I've been through a pregnancy, operations, a car accident, and also have pains from every day life and Peter is my go-to when I need some relief and to add to my treatment plan. The issues cannot always be resolved in one visit, but it is amazing how much better I feel after a massage with Peter! He definitely is a miracle worker! Although this is a practical treatment, and not a spa massage, the ambiance is still nice inside with dim lighting and spa-type music playing. Depending on your needs, some treatments feel more relaxing, and others need more pressure points and more intense work done to correct whatever is going on, but in the end, it's all good stuff. Unfortunately my plan does not allow for it, but they also have the ability to direct bill to your insurance coverage plan for RMT, so that's a plus if you have it! The rates are industry standard for Vancouver, so very good for getting a treatment that is actually good. Their online booking system is great and easy and I always appreciate being able to book on the go and not have to call in. I can usually get in for a massage within a week and sometimes there are openings during the week which is a major bonus when you need it! The schedule works for me as I work downtown, but it's good to note that the hours are mainly Monday to Friday during the day. I've had many many massages ranging from high end spas to RMT practices and although I have had other great experiences, I have also had my fair share of God-awful, verging on weird ones. After practicing too many headstands in yoga one week, I was in desperate need of an RMT to help alleviate a stiff neck. I wanted to try an RMT that wasn't located in a spa as I didn't have the time to spend a day to enjoy the extra amenities that most spas offer. I scoured google and yelp looking for a place that had great reviews. I came across Aloe on Yelp after noticing all the 5 star reviews. I used their online booking system and was able to get an appointment with the Peter (the owner) the very next day. As soon as I arrived, Peter was at the office ready to greet me at the front desk. I filled out the standard paperwork and then had a consultation right away. Peter was extremely thorough asking me a lot of questions about my neck, my daily routine, what I do for work, how I sit at my desk, how many monitors I have and where they're placed, etc. I had never been asked so many questions before by an RMT and it made me truly appreciate the care and consideration he was showing to get a real understanding of what was happening to my body to locate problem areas of concern. Even during the massage, he was friendly and asked more questions to uncover further areas that could be causing me problems. This included asking about my yoga practice and how my wrists were doing, my study habits and sleeping positions. After the 45 minute appointment, I met Peter at the front desk where he spent another 15 minutes going over stretches and discussing correct posture alignment that could help me throughout the day. When I asked him how often I should be seeing an RMT, he gave me his professional RMT opinion as opposed to a business owner opinion which I truly appreciated! Overall it was a great experience! My neck was feeling so much better after the appointment and I've been able to incorporate a lot of the recommended stretches into my daily routine. The office is conveniently located in central downtown Vancouver. Appointments are easy to make online and are available over lunchtime. Just make sure you have access to a shower afterwards. Would highly recommend Peter and Aloe for all your RMT needs! read more

I think this is the perfect massage therapy clinic for people with office jobs and a busy schedule. I really like the fact that it's located right in the heart of Downtown and is easily accessible. I also appreciate the scheduling system they have online, where you can book appointments and see all the RMTs' schedules. This is handy especially when I need a massage as soon as possible because it's really quick to get processed and get a confirmation. Peter is knowledgeable, caring, and professional. I can't say enough good things about Melanie. She just rocks. I've been seeing her for about 7 years. She's as good as it gets. This is no fluffy spa massage. Just straight up strong, deep tissue, sports massage. I've had nothing but amazing results working with Melanie. Highly, highly recommend her! Other things I love about Aloe: 1. All the other therapists are excellent. I've seen all of them at some point and they're all excellent. You can't go wrong booking with any one of them. I cannot rave enough about Luis. If you are looking for a light and fluffy relaxing massage then he is not your man. However, if you have nagging sports injuries or tight muscles that need to be dug into, do yourself a favour and go see him. He just GETS it, I don't know how. read more

I like Aloe massage for many reasons, it's super clean, easy to make appointments, staff are friendly and best of all you get a really good effective massage. I've been getting massages from Luis for the past few months and he has made a big difference in my life. I work as a nurse and run religiously. I have been meaning to write a review of Aloe since the day I walked in over a year ago with a brutal kink in my neck and the good fortune to have booked an appointment--on their very convenient online booking system-- with Peter Li, who is truly a gifted massage therapist. I left my first appointment at this quiet and pleasant clinic able to turn my head again and very much relieved. I have continued to see Peter who has worked a certain number of kinks, stress, and pain out of my neck and back with unparalleled intuitiveness and skill. Most recently I went in with sciatic pain that was so bad I could hardly put my socks on. The pain was pretty much gone at the end of my massage and Peter even spent extra time showing me simple and helpful stretches that I can easily incorporate. The man has an uncanny ability to find all the trouble spots--even those you didn't know existed, and to work them out: you literally feel them dissipate. Not only does Peter really knows his stuff, he is also very friendly and will put you right at ease which truly is a plus. I have also seen Jennifer (co-owner) who was equally awesome and I get a sense from other reviews that the standard is high across the board at Aloe. Being the stress-case and klutz that I am, I have seen a fair number of local massage therapists over the years, but Aloe is the place i recommend to those close to me. This is the best place to go for a serious massage IMO, and whats even more astounding is that I can generally get an appointment within a few days, which is perhaps why I have waited this long to write a review! read more
