The store is relatively small, but has everything you need. I think the whole organic food scene is still not super transparent and for me it all depends on the items I am getting. I generally like to buy organic fruits (especially when you eat the peal), but the ones I bought here sadly were all still pretty sour (except the apples). The staff was friendly though and the store very organized.

Prices can be high for some products, but they have various items on sale from time to time that make it worth buying. This location recently underwent a remodel. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet, as the aisles strike me as a bit more cramped than they were before, but I think the refrigerated section has improved and is labeled better. My only complaint is that they usually only have one register open, and while it's not always super busy, it can get slow.

I was talking with the cashier, who was young…read moreand really kind, and I was mid-sentence with my order when another woman that worked there came from the kitchen in the back and not only interrupted us (the cashier and I) and spoke over me, but she literally scoffed when I said that I was only interested in buying the puffer, not the whole salad offering (both are offered on the menu as separate items to order). Woah. What was most bothersome was that she spoke to the cashier in the most belittling way...Kiez Vegan has fresh, quick and delicious food for sure, but it made my friend and I so uncomfortable and sorry to see a cashier treated that way and to be regarded similarly. Not cool...

The bottom line: the prices are low, but the food is pretty boring and dry. I had the potato (where?) and spinach Borek. The filling was OK, but very salty and lacked creativity in the choice of spices. The dough was heavy, dense and dry - more like bread than any borek I've ever had. I expected filo dough, but that might be specific to Greek borek. It was quite heavy and my biggest compliment is that it is very filling - especially considering the €3 price tag. If you need to pick up something vegan quickly on your way somewhere - this is a good option. Otherwise, I would recommend finding somewhere else to go - even at the cost of a higher cost.
