shady company, especially when dealing through an insurance company. All they do is collect the service fee and come up with a ridiculous excuse to have your claim denied. Too slow !! I do not recommend. I was told that my water heater was pending to be picked up and that they never got the "notice" to get it. Mind you, this is from LOWES ( A STOCKED ITEM) i can the next day and they said that i just got the pick up notice that it will not be done till Monday (They had diagnosed this on Wednesday) now i have to wait another 2 days. Had to drop off the washer myself, and no one ever came to pick it up. Did call and was able to schedule a pickup but no one ever came. Left two voicemails but I didn't get a callback. I'm sure they are busy and I hope the parts from the washer I dropped off will be useful to the business, perhaps a few $100 bucks there for them I pray. I received $20 for the washer which was nice since cause that helps with gas per my delivery to their business. read more

Extremely overpriced for dryer parts. Charged me $90 for a $30 part I could have purchased online. Would not refund my money even though I never used the part. I ordered another part and they wanted $180. I ended up buying it online for $60! Rip off place if you are white. Stay away if you like your hard earned money. read more

Called Alma's Appliance about my malfunctioning RV residential refrigerator. Roberto came out to diagnose and repair the issue. He came back several times because the cause was poor installation from the manufacturer. I highly recommend Alma's and Roberto in particular. read more

Took in a washer to get fixed. Charged $55 to check it and another $232 to fix it. Washer still doesn't work. Took it in again because of the "warranty" and still not working. What a waste of good money for pitiful repairs. read more

Took two days for tech to arrive with mo call that they were delayed. Said refrigerator needed a new valve which they charged $150 which I could get on Amazon for $50-60. After replacing the ice maker still did work. Wanted $150 but instead I ordered on Amazon for $70. May install myself. read more

These guys are crooks. They sent unqualified people to do electrical work on my house. Used FaceTime and pics with the electrician to trouble shoot.. the electrician was never onsite.. Have Choice Home Warranty as a service.. they sent these fools to my house.. then the electrician claims my issue needed line tracing which was not covered by Home Choice Warranty. I decided to buy and new fixture and replace it myself.. Yep it was the light fixture ballast that was the issue.. gonna file with the state about them sending unqualified people to do electrical work and the electrician was never onsite to verify the work.. read more

I called ALMA'S APPLIANCE REPAIR in Harlingen, Texas (2402 Wilson Rd 956 423-2402) to repair the freezer part of my fridge. The technician came the same afternoon for a check up (which costs $75). The freezer needed a new heating element and some other part replaced, that being said it was creating a layer of ice in the back panel of the freezer. The technician melted the ice with their "heat gun" and in the process melted the inner plastic walls of the freezer. I called the place and asked to speak to a manager, but he was "at lunch". At some point that afternoon I get a call back from somebody who did not identified himself other than "the man in charge". Who offered nothing but excuses saying it was normal for the plastic to melt and there was nothing they could do about it. Is he being serious? I call them to get a job done and repair the freezer and in doing so they destroyed it and I am supposed to just say, ok?! Horrible customer service and attitude! DO NOT used them! read more

These guys quoted me a price to make my A/C work and even though they had to put in more parts and labor, they still charged the quoted price. They take care of their customers and they have our business from now on. I've seen some negative reviews but they're older so Alma's has fixed the issue and are doing great now. read more

This company is a joke called to get my stove repaired. Select home warranty sent these idiot's to fix my stove. They came out and said it needed a control board a control knob and sensor. When they came to fix it they only changed the knob and sensor stove worked for 1 day and failed again called back they said they would reorder the sensor 2 weeks later called them back and said that something else was causing the sensor to burn out and had no more warranty. If they would have changed the control board the first time we wouldn't have had this happen. Called and spoke with Frank and was full of excuses and refused to look and see who I spoke with to see about the replacement part he said he couldn't. If they try to send this people refuse them real bad customer service. Person they sent out couldn't speak English and had to ask for help over the phone untrained technician don't trust this people read more reviews. read more
