I had a tortellini soup for a starter, which was excellent, though a little less olive oil would have done the soup good. The bread that came with it (and the main course, too) was just fresh and excellent. For my main course I had one of the changing specials of handmade, fresh pasta with pesto. It tasted excellent, the pasta had the perfect texture and the right temperature. A colleague of mine had a pizza with Italian salami, he said it was downright perfect. The service was friendly, quick and a little chattybut very personable. And the prices were absolutely reasonable.

First they couldn't find the reservation but sat us anyway. The concierge at the Sheraton made it and confirmed it for us. We were seated and we sat for around 10 minutes before anyone came to the table. We ordered a cocktail and an antipasto. One of the settings was missing a fork. When the antipasto was dropped off, we asked for a fork and two plates so we could share the salad. Neither item was ever delivered. We went to another table and took a fork and napkin. We ordered two beers, a water and two pizzas. One of the beers eventually was delivered. I started to tell the waiter we were missing a beer and he held up his finger as if saying wait a minute, talked to another server and then hurried away. On the way to deliver our beers, another table stopped him and he gave them one of ours. He never returned. I need to say that we waited about a half an hour before the one beer arrived. I went over to our waiter who was entering orders at a terminal to tell him. He just said, ok ok ok. Twenty minutes later the other beer arrived. I asked where the pizzas were. Was given a shrug. After a total of two hours at the table, I again went to the waiter at the terminal. I told him to cancel our order and give us the check. This was after I saw four tables seated and served after we had placed out order. He arrived back with the bill which include the two pizzas. I told him I was not paying for something I didn't receive and I wanted to speak to a manager. A manager came and just acted as if this happened all the time. The waiter came back with the bill adjusted for the pizzas. I left a twenty cent tip and left (was the smallest I had). The head chef here ought to be outraged. The food is good but is loses all credibility with the extremely rotten service. The front of the house manager needs to be replaced with someone who knows how to run a dining room.

Fall 2018 I fell even more in love when I found truffle cream pasta. Tesoro's cuisine is the stuff dreams are made of. Their service is incredibly attentive. They even remember our names! I'm in Hanover for a week and will dine at Tesoro three of the nights. (I'd be there every night if I could.) It's just that good. I start with Prosecco Rose, which is a pure treat. And then Bruschetta. And last time they had a scallop's special as an appetizer that was amazing. Then, I still love the fresh pasta in the parmesan bowl, but I tried the Truffle Cream Pasta and can't get it out of my mind. It's fresh, creamy and they generously add truffles. It's so delicious that I'll finish every last drop no matter how full I become. If you're looking for an intimate setting, exceptional service, and the highest quality of delicious Italian cuisine - definitely seek out Tesoro. And I do recommend reservations.

First, don't get the "Aperitivo" plate unless you want to eat a bunch of cold veggies. I was expecting some "salumi" on my plate being that the plate costs €9, it didn't. I got the a glass of Montepulciano and I literally got a glass, not a wine glass mind you, but a wine in a glass you'd use for water. On a positive note, the service and the price is great. The pasta was how I expected it to be: al dente. Overall, if you're used to authentic Italian cuisine, you'd fine this acceptable. I'd recommend this place to my Italian friends except the antipasti.
