As we had a late morning start, I suspect we must have missed breakfast hour, but they were accommodating enough to leave food out for us. Room was reasonable size, very clean and tidy, and a jug of water and some snacks on the table was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend it.

It was a little confusing walking in on where to go, as one of the rooms was closed for an event. However, we were seated once everything was sorted. Food: We chose here because they had a vegetarian afternoon tea option that didn't require the entire party to partake. I got the vegetarian option, and my friends had the standard. I'm not entirely sure why our desserts were different as all the desserts appeared vegetarian. I ultimately enjoyed my set. Everything was as expected. We each ordered different teas, but they were hard to distinguish the difference. Our server was unsure as well. Service: Service was okay. We were seated, and our sets were provided soon after we placed our tea orders. The tea confusion was an issue since we all ordered vastly different ones. We were given carrot ginger juice on check in, which I liked, but the kids weren't fans. We had a suite, which included a decent bedroom and small sitting room. We booked the room for ourselves and two young kids, and the staff had already set up the room with two small cots, one in the sitting room and one in the bedroom. With the cots, the sitting room became pretty much unusable, but my kids loved bouncing between the bed and couch. The room had a small fridge, which was nice, especially since there were many nearby bodegas. There was a separate WC with small sink, and then the bathroom had a bathtub and two sinks. Props to Roseate for giving single use bottles of lotion and shampoo, etc. The shower pressure and temperature control of the bath were lovely. I wish we had stayed longer than one night, but we enjoyed our one night.

Unfortunately, the room we were given looked nothing like the photos shown on the hotel's website or on Booking.com. It was much smaller than expected, with barely enough space to walk around the bed. We also found the room to be dirty, there was visible mold, bugs throughout the room, and the shower drain was clogged, causing it to flood while in use. Overall, it felt poorly maintained and very different from what had been advertised. To make matters worse, the air conditioning in our room did not work, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable overnight. We reported the issue immediately, and the hotel acknowledged there was a problem with the AC. Because the issue could not be repaired that evening, staff walked us to their sister hotel so we would at least have a place to sleep for the night. We were instructed to leave all of our luggage in our original room and return the following morning. The proposed long-term solution was to move us into a basement room that also did not have air conditioning, with the explanation that it would feel cooler because it was underground. While we were trying to resolve the AC issue, the receptionist made several personal comments that I found inappropriate and unsettling. He described a scenario from a fantasy novel he was reading in which he could replace my husband in my memories so that I would believe he was married to me instead, while my real husband would slowly die because I no longer remembered him. The following morning, he again commented that my husband was "lucky" to be with me and added that he himself was "not that lucky." Regardless of whether these comments were intended as jokes, they were inappropriate in a professional setting and made both my husband and me feel uncomfortable. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable returning to the hotel or leaving my belongings there. The unresolved air conditioning issue and the condition of the room had already been frustrating, but the receptionist's behavior was ultimately what led us to relocate to another hotel for the remainder of our stay. We expressed our concerns about both the room conditions and the receptionist's comments to Booking.com and to hotel management. Despite acknowledging the air conditioning issue, the hotel declined to provide a refund or work with us on a resolution after we chose to relocate. Rather than showing understanding, management appeared frustrated by our decision to stay elsewhere, despite the circumstances that led to it. It was heartbreaking to spend the first two days of our honeymoon in London communicating with Booking.com and hotel management, trying to resolve these issues instead of simply enjoying our trip together and making the memories we had traveled so far to create. While the location is excellent, our experience left us deeply disappointed, and I cannot recommend staying at the Morgan Hotel.

Now when I checked in the reception puts me in a basement room, with no ventilation (if you open the side tiny window, you will get the smoke from people outside and the room is non-smoking) and she emphatizes how amazing the tub is (mind you I dont even use the tub at home). I had to take 2 big bags down a tiny set of stairs and I almost fell twice. At no time was there a "do you need help". When I finally make down there and I open the room, the room smelled muggy and stuffy, the bed was hardly a double, against a wall, hardly any space to put the bags. There are steps in and out of the bathroom that we didnt see, and I fell. The bathroom had a tub, that when you step in it, you cant lift your arms because they reach the ceiling. You need to shower close to the wall otherwise the water goes everywhere in the bathroom. The sink mirror is so low you need to squat to see your face. The walls had cracks everywhere. The heater is on a timer that you need to go to the office to have them turn on. The expose pipes where rusty and neglected, everything that was supposed to be white were dirty and nasty. They only give you 1 towel per person. The table was so small my kid didnt even fit there to eat because everything else they hotel puts there. I tried to turn off the ceiling light to sleep, but if you turn off the light, the fan turns off as well, so we had to sleep with the lights on. I checked out after the first night, and she was planning on not giving me a receipt, I had to tell her to give me something that stated I checked out that day. Im still trying to request a refund. The receptionist offered me another room, and I told her I was tired of going up and down the stairs with big heavy bags, she went on to say she also had one in the main hall. I told her if that was the case why did she put me on the bottom one to start with. I checked out and left. IMPORTANT: when I checked in I was informed that whenever I left the property I had to leave the room key in the reception, I couldnt take it with me. Sketchy. Anyways, I highly suggest you AVOID this place!!!!

We arrived very early and they were busy with breakfast but they accommodated us by refreshing our rooms first so on our return from Windsor we could collapse briefly before dinner.

Juliette, wherever you are, invest in new mattresses. * The house is on a corner and the side street has a good deal of car and bus noise. Bring your earplugs. With that out of the way, you should be able to decide if Juliette's is for you which likely comes down to how strongly you desire to stay in Notting Hill. A few other things to help you decide: * With no communal indoor rooms to sit in (though the garden is pleasant), Juliette's is some sort of hybrid B&B. There is always someone on-site to help but that person appears to be the hired help. This presented no problems during my 2 night stay. * There's stairs up to the front door and to your room. * Two nights, including VAT and breakfast, ran £311.22 ($378.97).

Instead, Juliette provides a lovely spread of toast and croissants (with FRESH butter, marmalade and jams), fresh orange juice, tea or coffee, muesli, cheeses, fruits, and a lower tier with milk and cereal ... all delivered at your morning leisure. They also have a stunning garden, where me and my travelers sat at the end of the day, relaxed, and drank our beers. An overall lovely place!

The hotel itself has just over 100 rooms on 7 floors. It has a nice reception area, which blends into the bar, lounge and small dining area. All the staff that I came into contact with were very friendly, and helpful. After the 13.8 mile drive from home took me almost 2 hours, I neede a beer when I arrived. I was pleasantly surprised that a pint of Becks was only £3.95, which is really reasonable, especially for a hotel. The room was pleasant enough and clean. I had a king sized bed, which was very comfortable. There was also a 42 inch LED TV. I was pleased that my room was at the rear of the hotel, as they did not appear to have double glazed windows, and the front of the hotel faces the busy A23 (the road to Gatwick & Brighton). I would definately consider staying here again should I need a hotel in the Croydon area.
