My son's session was in her studio aka living room on Schofield. It's small so if you have a large group it might get crowded but for my little 1 1/2 year old it was perfect. She has awesome backdrops and props and worked really well with my son who wasn't in the most cooperative mood lol (and shit his pants 10 min in Haha smh) I was also super late because of a mistake on my part but she still took me and managed to get some AMAZING shots. I got my sneak peak the next day and because we did a mini session I got the photos a few days after. I wanted my pregnancy, labor, and newborn photos to be timeless, classic, and more journalistic than posed. I didn't want pictures that you would look at and know they were taken in 2014. You know, like my baby pictures from the 80's...the ones with the wooden bench, the astroturf, the fake poppies in the background and the huge closeup of my face hovering ominously over my head. You look at pictures like that and you just know they were taken in the 80's! I loved Alicia's maternity, labor, and newborn photos, so I booked all three sessions with her. A few weeks before I was supposed to do my maternity shoot, I ended up having an emergency c-section and delivering my little guy 11 weeks early. A few days after that, I let Alicia know what was going on, and she was so kind and understanding about it. She was also patient with us regarding the scheduling - when you have a preemie, they go straight to the NICU, and there is no firm timeline regarding their release. We obviously didn't get to do our maternity or labor shoot, but I was very excited about our newborn shoot. By the time our son was discharged from the NICU, he was already 7 weeks old, he was well past the sleepy 10 day window. Even though Alicia was booked solid with other photo shoots, her own vow renewal and family in town, she squeezed us in as quickly as she could before Ben got any bigger (he was just 4lbs, and we really wanted to capture his tininess). Unfortunately the day of the shoot, Ben was incredibly fussy and had a sore tummy. We were only able to get a few shots in. Alicia was so understanding and kind about it - she scheduled a follow-up session the following week for no additional fee. It was very kind of her, and one of the reasons I feel completely comfortable referring her to my friends and family. The follow-up shoot went great, and we got some really beautiful shots that we will cherish forever. She was incredibly patient, putting my husband, myself, and our baby at ease. She was friendly and kind, and we really enjoyed our session. The pictures were absolutely gorgeous, the shots were perfect and the editing put all of us in our best light. I love that she gives you the photos for you to print as you please. So many places require you to purchase prints from them at ridiculous prices, and some won't ever give you a release so that you're forced to continue to buy from them. The only downside is that her husband is in the military, which means she probably won't be in Hawaii forever. That means I need to cracking on our next baby asap! I can't recommend her enough, and I can't wait until our next session!

I was on the fence to do newborn photos for my son and had lingered near the 2 week mark from his birth to decide to do them. I was referred to 4 Winks photography by a work acquaintance. I submitted my quote request & Cindy called me almost immediately. She was so sweet and just all around kind. She had no problem capturing photos of my 2 week old newborn. Many of the other photographers were weary of doing so because it would be more work for them, Not Cindy- She was up for the challenge! She was very soothing to my baby boy and even taught me a few tricks on how to calm him down. She was patient and so loving , you can really tell that she enjoys her profession. All of the props and background images were spot on. She was also very accommodating to receive my in laws that came with me. Considering the current situation with COVID, all health & precautionary measures were executed. Her studio was impecable. The photography shoot was seamless. I was already in love with the different shots she captured of our son. After the shoot was complete- Cindy kept in touch with us as she edited the images. We then went back to pick up the prints and a USB she had prepared for us. The delivery of the final product was neatly packed and looked very profesional. It was like I was receiving a beautifully wrapped gift!! Her prices are also very reasonable and the quality of her work is stellar!! Of all the professional photographers we have had Lauren was so patient and friendly to my 4 year old. Not many photographers understand that kids are kids and often get distracted or change their tempers quickly. Lauren was so kind to my daughter waiting on her even if she decided to throw a fit. Before our photo session Lauren called me several times to prepare. She sent me an idea of an outfit and I had the outfit handmade saving $60. Lauren paid so many compliments with how the outfit matched the picture she sent me of what she wanted my daughter to wear. Lauren also had a special necklace made for my daughter to wear in the pictures. It was so beautiful and matched the dress perfect. Lauren also bought a crown and painted it special to match my daughter's outfit. When we were deciding on a place for pictures, Lauren took a whole morning, drove out to my area clearly an hour from her, just to find the perfect place. She found a spot that I honestly didn't think was appealing. It was an old boarded bridge over a small creek. When Lauren got all her props and told Aurora what poses to make I was in so much shock to see how beautiful she made the environment come alive. If you would drive to this place you would never believe our photos were taken there. That is how much talent and creativity Lauren has. To see this place come alive through her lens and ideas was so cool. She danced around with my daughter played with her and even formed a good relationship with my daughter before the photos. I received my photos right away. I was amazed with how quick I got them. They are all so beautiful and I will forever have this memory captured. The color is gorgeous. I posted one of the many great pictures on my Facebook and before 24 hours got 100 "likes." My daughter to this day asks for Lauren and she even drew a special picture for her.
