But the mostly friendly employees picked up the pace very quickly. The fuel pumps were all available except one. Diesel is available - several big rigs were able to get in and out seemingly easily. The women's restroom has lots of stalls. Not always the cleanest & they do not offer towels for hand drying, but I have no major complaints. Don't forget to try the "World Famous Beef & Bean Burrito." With a packet or two of taco sauce. Avoid settling on the chimichanga. It's not good. I like this stop particularly if I don't want to drive through town. There is a shortcut if you're headed towards Tatum or the Texas border via Pine Lodge and Red Bridge Roads.

While our friend filled up the gas tank, the rest of us checked out what the store had to offer. Restrooms were pretty clean as was the store itself. Lots of selection of drinks, snacks. and other goodies. Overall, I'd recommend dropping by this Stripes store if you are in the area.

I had to go into the store to get a receipt for a gas purchase. (I didn't notice the price of gas until I pumped a few gallons into my car.) I got enough gas to get me south to the city of Artesia. There were three people working the counter and two were arguing about getting change for the guy in front of me. The store is messy and dirty. More so than most Allsups stores. Disappointing Curbside Experience - Not Worth the Wait…read more I placed a curbside order at 8:13 PM and didn't leave until 8:56 PM--a 43-minute wait for a to-go meal. I even called the store at 8:45 and was told my food would be brought out. It wasn't. Another customer who arrived after me got their food first. Only then did a staff member ask if I was still waiting and finally brought my order. Turns out my food had been sitting under the heat lamp the entire time. The Dr Pepper Blackberry Shake had to be remade on the spot because it was no longer presentable (on the plus side, my wife loved the shake). Unfortunately, the rest was a mess: Cold burgers Terrible fries (I had to reheat them in my air fryer) One burger was supposed to have everything except mustard, but came completely plain A manager (I believe named Dan) spoke with me but said there was nothing they could do about a refund because it was an online order. I spent $44 for what was supposed to be a quick meal. For that price and time, I could've sat down at Applebee's, ordered three full-size burgers with drinks and fries, tipped 20%, and still spent less money for better service and food. Chili's and BWW offer similar deals. Really disappointed this time. Hopefully they can improve the curbside process, because this was not Whataburger's best. At least, I hope it's not.
