I am passing through and when I went in the store almost all the products sold were definitely overpriced. Almost an 80% mark up on a bunch of the items. Some of them are reasonable but others are out of this world. I suspect it's because it's the only Asian store for miles. If you're looking for Asian items I'd recommend checking Walmart or Lowe's first before coming here since you might be able to find it for a significantly lower price. For instance, the buldak ramen is sold at Aikos for 13 dollars but Walmart sells them for 7. Aikos definitely has more variety tho! The owner is nice!

Very warm feel with the lodge look. Internal temp in side were a bit chilly. At one point I'd asked to use the bathroom, oops.... it's locked! I helped them figure out how to unlock it, finally opened after about 10 minutes. Got to know the lady at the counter pretty well, even her kids were helping that she had sitting behind the counter. We did buy some stuff, looks and feels to be good quality. Worth a stop if you're passing through.

They serve as a small store as well, selling items that grocery stores sale as well as the items of convenience. Fuel station was to the side and not in front. We stopped to use the bathrooms after walking the shops, and they were surprisingly clean. Very much so. Very happy with that.

It also has a small section with everyday staples like milk and cheese. This place is great if you need a pit stop to buy some snacks and drinks for the road. They also have their small selection of hot food cooked and ready to go for anybody that just wants a quick bite. What else is there to say? It's a brand new convenience/gas store that is a great addition to Cloudcroft. That old Allsup's was just not cutting it anymore.

Went to the market to buy 2 propane refills...gave the cashier TWO $20 bills and when he said it…read morewas like $3 more I handed him a $5 bill. Never got a receipt. Got the two replacements. Lo an behold when I came home a while later there was a deputy sheriff on my property. He asked me about anything at the La Luz Market this morning and I said no why? He said they accused me of stealing. After telling the deputy that I handed the guy $45 total and no receipt why is that stealing? The deputy acknowledged it sounded like a misunderstanding. Apparently the guy must have pocketed the $20 as it was never recorded with the till. The receipt showed one sale, shame on me for not paying attention, but again I did not get a receipt otherwise when I got home I would have seen that I only paid for one and would take care of it. The other guy Chris (when I was there with the deputy) called me a scammer, liar, thief over and over again. After the deputy even confirmed it was a misunderstanding that Chris guy kept reaming n to me...saying HA you got caught???? What on earth would Ronnie Merrill the owner (of course not available to talk to) hire a rude obnoxious man to talk to customers like that? I did absolutely nothing wrong. He spoke to me like that in front of customers and the deputy. What a bad impression on the Market...shame on you Ronnie Merrill.

This roadside largest pistachio is just north of Alamagordo in New Mexico…read more There is also a large store that has many New Mexico souvenirs including keychains, tshirts , seasonings , candies , toys, homemade fudge and unique pistachio flavors to sample . There's an attendant standing nearby that keeps the pistachio sample area clean and helps with suggestions . The nuts are packaged with and without the shells . We liked the spicy dill flavor the best. There's also an ice cream shop too! They offer shakes , ice cream , shakes and floats . Too good to pass up. I got a root beer pistachio ice cream float that hit the right spot on a warm day. Happy to have driven here for a pic opportunity and get some cool souvenirs .

The tour guide was awesome! We enjoyed ice cream after which was very tasty! The store is extensive with samples of different flavors of pistachios which is nice to try and then lots of options to buy.
