I've been a customer for our auto ins for years, I had left them…read morein the early 2000's and came back in 2022, they are a bit pricey but I was ok with that since they offer the higher limits. Whelp the most awful Thing happened 12/17/25, I was in a horrible accident & my truck was totaled! I gave Wawanesa grace since it was coming up on the Christmas holiday but once 2 weeks passed and no response from adjusters I started to worry as the rental coverage is only for 30 days & I had no vehicle that was being repaired! Well my Worst nightmare came true! The total loss adjuster assigned to us was dragging her feet, never contacted my finance company even though she lied to me on several occasions that she had!! I she had told me over the phone on a Thursday that I would have a check the following Monday & that day came & was gone & it took another 10 days to actually get our funds due us to go replace my vehicle! I would call my finance company daily to see if they've given the payoff to my Ins company & for 2 weeks was told they have not been contacted!! Of course my rental ran out, Wawanesa refused to extend even though THEIR incompetent adjuster didn't follow thru & I literally was doing all the leg work to get my payout to purchase a new vehicle! I ended up paying out of pocket a total of 10 days at $50 a day, thank goodness the rental provider extended the rate to me or I'd be out more money due to Wawanesa's failure to do their job! As of today our loan check to our finance company has still not been recd, it's been since 01/24. So not only did Wawanesa force me to incur over $500 in charges for a rental, my credit is also taking a hit !! I am so disappointed & have left msg for managers with no return call or explanation! I am shocked at Wawanesa & so upset that we pay our ins policy, mind you it's not cheap in CA & with the way things are in the world with ins right now & then to be treated with such arrogance as if we are asking for a favor!! If I could take my business elsewhere right now I would but again the state of our ins premiums in CA it's not easy to move to another ins provider with the same coverages. I feel stuck & not happy at all! I would never recommend Wawanesa ever again!! Wawanesa do better, train your total loss adjusters to have better customer service skills & to return calls to customers & to do THEIR jobs!!! I don't know how many days I spent on the phone leaving msgs, calling my finance company, calling the adjuster back to be lied to & in the end what I was trying to prevent, happened!! Do not go with Wawanesa!! Btw I was not at fault & had major neck, back & arm Injuries all the while dealing with MD appts, therapy, PTSD from The accident & hiring an attorney due to the other party (at fault) not having enough coverage to pay off my vehicle & then I had to deal with the stress Wawanesa caused me. I was literally in tears daily trying to contact anyone at Wawanesa to help us!! I am thankful to be alive, but not thankful for the stress caused by my own insurance!! Go elsewhere!! Not worth the headache they cause their own insured!

From just telling him my name he was able to pull up my information and actually told me all the vehicles on my policy, years, makes, models and VIN. He asked what I needed to do and I told him I need to remove a car from my policy. He told me he did everything I asked. He then charged my credit card $200+ and after hanging up with him I checked my card and saw the charges were not from Geico so I called another number for them and after many calls got a human on the line. The agent told me that it was indeed a scammer. She told me that their system is hacked and that there are scammers in it 24/7 and although they constantly combat this...they can never get rid of them entirely. I asked her to look closely at my policy as he made changes and asked her to make sure everything was ok. She said he (scammers ) did all the changes correctly! WHAT!! I asked could he go in and simply cancel insurance on a policyholder if he wanted and SHE SAID HE COULD! And if he did and I got into an accident.....that I would not be covered!! WHAT! This is a MAJOR PROBLEM GEICO!! This is 100% true and they can and should contact me immediately. You have my number....Im sick of trying to call you! CAL ME IMMEDIATELY! FIX THIS ISSUE ASAP!!

    I guess most people only leave a review on the GEICO Yelp site when they have a bad experience. We…read morehave had GEICO for our auto, renters and Umbrella coverage for the past 12 years. Have never had an issue with claims, in fact I have always been pleasantly surprised on how efficient GEICO has been in processing and taking care of us with any claim we have submitted. Prices are fair for California and we demand good coverage. Warren Buffett owns the company so they have sufficient funds behind them. Pretty much everything is done online and at our convenience. I carry a hundred dollar comprehensive insurance deductible which if I repair 1 broken windshield it pays for itself for the next 10 years. That is a bit of information I pass on to most people is to compare rates on comprehensive insurance premiums $100 deductible vs $500 deductible. The difference is marginal and 1 claim covers the extra costs of premiums for 10 years or more. We are happy customers of GEICO and I felt it only appropriate to leave a good review amongst the several negative reviews left by people that seem to only use Yelp to bad mouth a business.

She was super easy to deal with and gave me the most competitive rates for the coverage I was looking for. I ended going with her out of the 4 agents my dad referred me to and got my home insurance through Mercury. Fast forward to these past two weeks, I've been shopping for a new car insurance as my current insurance is raising the rates by almost $400 for this next year. I shopped around online, and was looking at Geico and Wawanesa, as they had the cheapest rates when I suddenly remembered that most companies have multi-policy discounts. I immediately reached out to Lilly to see if she could help me and she worked with me to obtain all the information necessary to give me an accurate quote. She even went above and beyond to see if she could get approval from her admin for a career discount. Unfortunately, I didn't qualify for that specific discount, but the rate I got from her was still the most competitive. Needless to say, I highly recommend Lilly for her quick, efficient, and highly professional work!

After almost 6 months of phone calls and getting sent to a collection agency, I finally had to pay $978 out of my own pocket when progressive refused to cover all the costs from the rental car I was driving even though they were the insurers of the driver that hit me. They would just rather make excuses then do the right thing. I did nothing wrong and it cost me almost $1000. Thank you so much progressive
