I was trying to find out WHICH office in Murfreesboro my Mother had an appointment at. This gentleman, knowing it was NOT a client for THEIR office, was kind enough to take the time to search their (I'm sure lengthly) data base of appointments scheduled for Saturday at noon, and was able to find Momma's appointment and gave me the address and phone number. In my opinion, in this era of low expectations, when dealing with many businesses, I was so very pleasantly surprised by this kind & helpful professional, who went above and beyond, for me. His name is David Schmidt (Yes, I was impressed enough to ask so I could do this compliment to him). I am not sure which Franklin Office he is located at, but I sure hope H & R Block reads these reviews, because as a Retired business Manager and former business owner and Non-Profit Executive Director, I want to say H & R Block is very fortunate to have an individual like Mr. Schmidt, who represents their company do well and with exceptional professional to their clients, even when it's not for his office. What a fantastic Front Line representative he is for the H & R Block company as as whole. Thank you, Mr. Schmidt for helping a distressed daughter find where her 91-year-old Momma needs to be on Saturday so I can plan my travel time to get her there and home again. You were a surprise blessing on the end of my phone! ​

I had to call her for the appointment she booked me for, then answered the phone and said "What's up?" as if I was annoying her. After tax season she disappears completely and they leave you to deal with the office manager Jeff Ammon who has no clue how to file taxes, went over the taxes with me and confirmed that I did owe (I found out later that I did not owe), and told me where I should send the money. He did this all based on incorrect information given by his tax preparer Susan Curtis. When I advised that my taxes were done incorrectly, I was told I would receive a refund for the taxes done incorrectly. I never received said refund from him and am now in the process of needing take further action. I do not recommend this location due to the location manager being equally as uninformed as the tax preparer.

Once was in New York to deposit a check, the other two times were at the Franklin TN office. After my experience dealing with Luke at the front counter in Franklin, I am ready to close my account. I needed to go to the Fidelity office to wire money to Mexico since I am planning to purchase property there. During my first visit, Luke acted like it was a big inconvenience to send the wire. Given the difficulty he was having, I sensed he did not do this often. I returned two weeks later to send money to a different account in Mexico that I would use to purchase the property when it was time to close on the deal. Unfortunately, Luke was still working the counter. This time, he made several odd remarks like : "How many accounts do you have in Mexico". Then he asked what the money was used for because "people" questioned him after the transaction. I said that I told you the purpose during my last visit. Then I asked what he said. He responded "To help a friend in Mexico pay bills". At this point, I was very upset and said no, it was to purchase property. He said, "we'll I didn't remember because I do a lot of wire transfers".. Really, based on his lack of competence, I would say he doesn't do many. I have received far better customer service at banks where I carry a fraction of the amount I have with Fidelity. I see no point doing business with a company that treats its customers so rudely.

This branch is lazy and ignorant. I highly recommend avoiding them and constantly checking your account. It will take at least 30 days for them to fix their huge breach of privacy and get my money back to me. Received no apology from the teller that just handed my money out.
