We have been forced to hire an attorney and file a formal restraining order against her today due to her unhinged, illegal actions .Our experience includes: Fraudulent Billing & Discrepancies: She claimed our policy was canceled on July 31st, yet we were still billed for two premium payments on the 3rd and 11th.False Claims Denial: She falsely denied a legitimate claim and has repeatedly lied about a non-existent claim in May, despite our policy being fully active. She is acting well outside her licensing, which is strictly for a sales agent, not a claims adjuster. Severe Elder Harassment: She has repeatedly harassed, called, and terrified my 71-year-old mother, who is a two-time stroke survivor, claiming she visited our property in May. Our security cameras prove she was never there. Weaponizing Law Enforcement: After explicitly instructing her in writing to cease all contact and communicate only through our attorney, she deliberately ignored the request. Instead, she weaponized the Hobart Police Department to perform a fraudulent "welfare check" on us to continue her harassment. This individual is a liability, cannot produce required legal disclosures, and is actively targeting a vulnerable senior citizen. If you have elderly parents, keep them far away from this agent. Corporate compliance, the state insurance commissioner, and law enforcement have been notified. I started this process in July of last year, and asked him if we could put this on hold in December as I was dealing with a lot. We started back up in March and I was ready to roll. I provided everything asked of me. In May, I reached out to Stuart again after not hearing from him. Stuart told me that we will be filing my paperwork next week. That week came and went and I would never heard from him again. I was already apprehensive about doing it, but I knew it had to be done. I'm really disappointed that I paid in full to file a Chapter 7, and it was never filled. I emailed Stuart back last week asking him for my filing fee back, I already knew I would take a loss on the over $2000 that I zelled him for my bk7 fee. Even after sending back my filing fee, he offered no explanation again. I wish I wouldn't have been so naïve in the beginning, and cut contact after he ghosted me the first time. Hard pill to swallow, but lesson learned.

As a small business owner, working with a community bank seemed like the appropriate thing to do…read more We chose OPT for that reason almost 6 yrs ago. The people who work here are very nice. They seem to be held to stringent policies that prohibit them from making decisions to support extenuating circumstances, on a case by case basis. After receiving an email from a great person at the bank, a VP, informing us of an overdraft, we took quick action to make a deposit, while traveling back into town. Called to see what was happening, and took swift action to take care of the issue, and later look into what caused it. We've never had an overdraft, and an accounting glitch resulted in funds for our payroll inadvertently, being debited from OPT instead of another account at another bank. As a result, we were charged $140 for the overdrafts. After 6 years of doing business with OPT and zero overdrafts, we were told there is nothing that they can do, "bank policy." We are moving our business to a bank that affords their people the opportunity to make appropriate decisions in supporting long term relationships, problem solving support, and manage various circumstances as they arise. I would not recommend Old Plank Trail Bank, or Wintrust.
