To make matters worse, when I called him to see if I was covered, he or his staff was no where to be found. Then when he finally contacted me, he told me that I had the proper insurance and I was covered and for me to file a claim because I was covered. So I filed a claim and was shocked when my claim was denied. I appealed my claim being denied, and discovered during the appeal process that Michael had lied about adding the proper insurance coverage. You see, Michael thought I was covered because we discussed making sure I had the proper water damage insurance because I had a 40k finished basement. So when I called him, he thought I was covered, but the appeal process confirmed that he NEVER added the proper insurance. So I filed a complaint against him for failing to add the proper policy and for lying to me. It was at this point that I was informed the water from outside was not covered, but the water from my water tank was covered. So although the insurance company wouldn't cover the whole 24k in damages, they would cover 16k of the damages. I immediately had my insurance transfered to another insurance agent. But while the policy was in the transit process, my new 100k Yukon Denali came and I had to get insurance. Again, Michael or his office staff was no where to be found so I had to call the 800 customer service line to get insurance on my new truck. But did Michael knowing that I didn't want him as my agent anymore transfer my insurance to the new agent? NO HE DIDN'T. Michael has been holding my policy hostage and still collecting monthly payments from it. When my new agent called Michael to transfer the policy, Michael again lied and said he would process the paperwork to have the one truck policy transfered to the new agent where my home and three other vehicles are now under. Even after I called the 800 number to have the truck policy transfered to the new agent, Michael continues to hold my truck policy hostage to collect money from it, despite the fact that he wasn't even around or available to write the policy. Michael Pikora is a lying crook stealing policies from other agents. Michael Pikora office is a hole in the wall that is basically set up as a phone bank to take phone messages. The office is basically unmanned and him and his staff work from home most of the time. Pop up at his office and you will see for yourself. I posted a bad review years ago and him and his wife repeatedly called me and begged me to take it down and promised that I would never have a problem reaching him again, so I took it down and everything they both said was all lies. Michael Pikora is such a bad agent, that he had my almost 400k condo with just 50k replacement cost. My new agent said my basement alone will take over 40k to redo if there was a fire. The new agent immediately corrected all of Michael Pikora mistakes. State Farm is an excellent insurance company and they have been good to me and always treated me fair with any of my claims. But Michael Pikora is a horrible insurance agent, and trust me, if you stay with him, you're going to take a big lost. Don't wait until something bad happens to find out either, because it will coat you a lot of money when it happens.

The whole staff at Kandiss Ecton State Farm (including Ms. Kandiss herself) really made me feel at ease. These people are the Real Deal! No catch, no scheme, no gimmicks. The staff here is truly invested in not only getting to know you but finding something that works for you and it shows. The warm and friendly atmosphere they provide is phenomenal. Raquel Koger lacks the ability to explain things clearly and then has…read morethe audacity to get mad at you when she can't explain something she's supposed to be a professional at. Raquel made up our existing premiums out of thin air and over doubled what our cost actually is and then tried to pressure us into staying with them saying she could work a better deal. Mind you we are still with state farm just not her office. How can you make up numbers and use manipulation and scare tactics to try and have someone stay on with you. Reporting her to the state for fraud as well. This is NOT how you do sales nor is it how you treat another human being.

Insurance is one of those necessities in life we pay for hoping we never have to use…read more Unfortunately, unexpected events like the lady trying to curl her hair and chat on her cell phone during rush hour traffic or a rotten branch falling during a windstorm happen more often than we might like. That's where your choice of insurance agent matters. Curt Luke met me personally one crisp day in October when I transferred my out-of-state policy, crunching numbers and whittling down my deductibles to find the best balance of out-of-pocket payments and savings. He stayed after business hours to make the numbers work in my favour, something I greatly appreciated. Michigan's no-fault laws caused an eye-opening bump in my monthly payments, but Curt explained the benefits of no-fault so clearly and succinctly that I found myself wishing other states and provinces had similar benefits. Score one point for informed consumer made aware of her options. Flash forward a year and a half to another series of unfortunate events at my new workplace. An overactive security gate decided to slam closed on my vehicle. After facing down security, I was a pile of jittery nerves when I called. Kathy in the agency office went beyond the call of duty to help calm me and explain what benefits my policy entitled me to. She armed me with questions to ask of the security people (fruitless as that was), took my statement, and declared her opinion of matters. Then she gave advice for how I should approach the situation as she put my claim in. She put up with several phone calls as I ran around trying to collect information, and her helpful manner made a big difference to me. Within a few hours, I had a claim sent over to the body shop repairing my vehicle and a number for the rental agency. She followed up right away with the collision shop the next morning so they could begin work. That's service with a smile and a hand on your shoulder. When I called back with a situation, she heard me out. The experience beats filing paperwork through an automated system, dealing with an interactive voice system (aka: speak to the computerized menu), and hoping you have everything right. Accidents and losses are difficult enough to navigate, much less try to figure out how the insurance company will respond. Curt Luke's agency is staffed by people who know their subjects and respond warmly to inquiries. They are prompt filling requests and excellent when it comes to returning calls. I hope you never get into dire circumstances, but if you do, remember Curt Luke and his office staff. They've bailed me out from a tooth-grinding, frustrating situation and went the extra miles on my behalf. That means a lot. When you need an advocate, they are there.
