These were also topped with some arugula. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked it. It was served with a small salad smothered in a slightly curried dressing. Our waitress was probably the sweetest most polite waitress I have ever encountered as well. She looked too young to even be allowed to serve wine. The place was very clean, as well as the rest rooms. I wold recommend this one. They have a menu full of pizzas, pastas, meats and other dishes to chose from.

While the staff speaks French and decent English, they communicate between themselves in Italian, with a lot of incoming customers being Italian as well. It's a great sign in general and here it was confirmed. They have a large selection of different pizzas, once again - all for a reasonable price, that are baked on a thin, chewy crust and with an abundance of toppings - basically the way pizza is supposed to be done. They also have an abundance of authentic appetizers while you are waiting for your pizza to arrive and serve you some bread. Overall a great experience! While this place isn't the best Italian or best Pizza of Lausanne in my opinion, it is nonetheless a great find and is definitely one of the best price/quality ratios around. I can but recommend it.

If the weather had been warmer, we would have taken a seat in their outdoor area in the square, but due to the rain we hurried inside. Inside they have done a nice job of maintaining a historic space, while adding some modern art touches. We all started out with the verte salad, you could choose French or Italian dressing, I found the Italian vinaigrette dressing was good. Two of our group had pizza, and another lasagna, and myself the gnocchi. I have to say the gnocchi looked the best. It is baked in the oven with delicious buffalo mozzarella and other goodies. It was superb. The food is served in the dish it is baked in, so you have to be sure to let it sit several minutes before tasting it, to avoid burning your mouth. They have a decent wine selection, and currently on the menu they have an Italian red wine you can purchase by the glass, which was excellent. The prices are not steep, and just about right for Swiss dinning standards. The place was busy, and we were lucky to get the last table, definitely smart to reserve in advance. TIP. If you need to utilise the washrooms, you need to be sure to press the button as you exit the inside restaurant door. Then you go across the main entrance hall and open another door to access the washroom area.
