He explained in detail what the work would require and the process. Jon sounds like he knows his stuff. Then he made it out to our property with in a couple of days for the estimate. So far Apex Construction is doing awesome. I'm impressed and excited to keep working with them. Unfortunately, I don't hear from them for about a week. I give them a call. They say something like oh yes yes we are still working on you estimate. We will send it to you this weekend. It never shows up. I call a couple of times in August. No answer. Then I e-mail. No response. I finally get a hold of someone is September. They let me know that they haven't forgot about my estimate. They ran into issues with permitting. They will be send out my estimate this weekend. It is now November. I have not heard from them. I understand if there is too much work and you are trying to fit it all in. But!! If you can't then just say so. To be honest out of all the contractors I've talked to, Jon sounded the most knowledgeable and professional. I would like someone competent to work on my home. If he would have said I'm book three months out, I would have probably waited for him. It is unfortunate that APEX construction is too flakey to follow up with their clients or at a minimum follow through with what you say you are going to do. July to November is plenty of time for them to have at least given me a courteous call. I would not suggest Apex construction to any of my friends or family.

He was also hired to do drywall repair. 100% of the time he did not show up to work at the agreed upon time. He no-showed altogether some days. Come to find out he's not even licensed. Poor work ethic, and poor job on the half-done work he did at my house. Samuel is not trustworthy.

The first week he did not show; when I tracked him down, he said that we was still working on another job, then needed a few days to rest. The second week he was legitimately sick - which I found out after I had to track him down as he did not call to let me know where he was. However, 3 weeks later, he still had not finished the upstairs and had not started the downstairs. The worst thing was the paint started peeling off all the trim and doors that he did paint. I have had 3 contractors in since then that have described the paint job that he did as a "nightmare." All 3 agreed that he tried to put water based paint on oil based paint, which they said was a rookie mistake. I fired him. Now, I am looking at replacing all of my trim upstairs as the cost of sanding off all the paint is labor cost intensive. In addition, he moved furniture back without replacing all the electrical outlets. He also hid paint on the floor by moving furniture in front of and on top of the paint. I am not sure if he honestly did not know what he was doing or if it was a scam.
