I live in Lynchburg Virginia. This Allied Cab Company is also located in Lynchburg Virginia, on Fort Avenue. These events happened on Sunday June 4th, 2023 and Sunday June 11th, 2023, between 7:20 and 7:40 pm. I took the letter to Allied on Tuesday June 13th 2023. I called the manager on Thursday June 15th, 2023.
One of their drivers tried to con my son out of $100 dollar. He said my son slammed the door and cracked a window pane. He got out the cab, opened the front door to our apartment building and yelled. "I'm mo kick your ass!" I ran down stairs to catch him and to see if I could straighten things out. He kept yelling. "Who gonna pay for that window? My job's gonna take it out my check" I told him my son would pay for it. I gave him my number and he drove off. He was yelling so much, I didn't check the window. I waited that week for him to call.
A week later my son got another cab from the Allied cab station and this same con-man-driver followed the cab my son was in. Now there were 2 cabs in the driveway. The con-man called me to his cab. He said Allied had taken money for the window out of his pay and my son owed him $100. He said I didn't have to give it to him all at once. I told him I needed to see a bill. He said Allied had given him a receipt and that was just as good as a bill. I told him we would meet him at the station on Tuesday. I wrote Allied a letter, asking them to investigate, and took it to the station. When l called on Thursday, I was told there was no crack in the window, and my son didn't owe any money.
They completely ignored the fact that the con-man lied about the crack and about the money that, he said, was taken out of his pay. The con-man-driver set this situation up. My son has autism. Crooks can spot it immediately. My son said he was being rude and angry with him during the entire ride. He deliberately made him angry so my son would slam the door when he got out. Then he could cry wolf.
The con-man told Allied that he THOUGHT the window was cracked. If that was the case why did he make arrangements for my son to pay him. Why did he say he had a receipt. Why did he say Allied took 100 dollars out of his paycheck to pay for the window. This man is a habitual liar.
My son has been taking Allied cab home from work for 3 an a half years. If he had a problem with slamming car doors, a driver would have seen it before June 4th, 2023. But the management at Allied believed everything the con-man said. They don't care. How many more people with autism will he target? Never again! read more
