No sidewalk up to this place to check in for weigh in for tap cancer out. Cash only parking lot. Pt Loma Naz is a much cleaner and nicer facility.

After I graduated from UT Austin, I was given the choice between a tuition free ride in a PhD psychology program at a private university in Texas, or a costly tuition APA accredited PhD program at Alliant; I chose Alliant and I am so glad that I did. I believe that decision literally changed the course of my entire career. Although the Clinical Psychology PhD program at Alliant was quite rigorous, demanding and felt overwhelming at times, I can now say -11 years post matriculation- that I am the CEO of a successful and highly lucrative Neuropsychological Evaluation and Therapeutic Center in Austin, Texas. Alliant's staff is a group of well renowned psychologists, mental health professionals and researchers. The education and training that I received , as well as the four years of various practicums, and one year of a renowned residency placement , allowed me the gift of a full skill set when entering into the workforce. I was immediately able to competently open a private practice, work for a start up doing research, work with the Court system(s) on forensic evaluation assessments and now, I own my own corporation; I owe it all to Alliant and their staff. www.neatcenteraustin.com

My son is planning to transfer to Miramar College from another community college with hopes of eventually attending UC San Diego. Unfortunately, he had a difficult experience with administration at his previous school, so we were already feeling pretty discouraged and overwhelmed trying to navigate the transfer process. We attempted to contact the counseling office and called several different numbers without any luck. Finally, we tried another number we found on Google, and to our surprise, someone answered. We explained our situation, and the gentleman we spoke with apologized and explained that the entire SDCCD district network was currently down. Even though he worked at an off-site location and had limited access because of the outage, he still took the time to help us. He asked whether we were military affiliated, and when I explained that we were not and had simply found the number online while searching for Miramar counseling, he immediately said, "No problem, I'm here to help you." From that moment on, he went above and beyond. He patiently walked us through everything my son needed to get started with the transfer process and assured us that once the systems were restored, he would follow up with additional links and information. His optimism, kindness, and genuine excitement for my son's future at Miramar College were truly a breath of fresh air. By the end of the conversation, we both felt relieved, encouraged, and excited again about this next chapter. A few days later, just as promised, we received a detailed email with links for transcript evaluation, counseling appointments, financial aid, and additional resources. We want to give a huge thank you to Mr. Ron at the Miramar Base for his professionalism, compassion, and willingness to help complete strangers during a stressful time. People like him make such a difference. We only wish we had base access so we could thank him in person. We sincerely hope Miramar College administration sees this review and recognizes him for the outstanding support and care he provided.

My daughter was part of the COVID class so she transferred in her junior year and had classes mainly on campus(which she loved). She commuted to/from school/home. He was lucky to find Wonder roommates and friends and lived in locations on campus within walking distance of everything. So far it is hard work but he is enjoiyhis time at State. There are so many great clubs, organizations, and opportunities around campus. The trolly system is pretty good as well and a great means of transportation around San Diego if they do not have a car. My daughter graduated in 2024 and really enjoyed her time there. Very lucky to have them both near by for school. Great campus!!! I have had ample opportunities from SDSU for my future career and also to meet friends for life. The campus is absolutely stunning and has its own farmers market once a week in the main square area. I joined Greek life, student orgs, and had such an amazing experience where I was able to contribute to my personal and professional development. I will forever thank this school for everything it's given me and grateful that I've found a place. The one thing I will say, however, is that I lived in Chappy and that freshman dorm building needed help. But at the same time I was in the most social building, so that allowed me to meet the friends I have now!

I took science classes here for a year. I like that it is a small campus. I would sometimes study down stairs be the vending machines. There are sofas and charging stations all around the building. Pros - There is only one building. Makes it easier to find your class - library on the 4th floor. - less students, less noise. -awesome view from the 4th floor library. - a walking trail behind the building ( because they do not have a gym) Cons - no cafeteria. They have vending machines - Closed on the weekend, which means you cannot use their library on the weekends. I always thought of community college, as college at trade school prices. If are a practical person and are only going to college for a professional degree (and have no interest in "student life") community college is the way to go.

I moved back to Rancho Bernardo after some years in NorCal and I have been re-discovering the area this past year. It was been amazing because some places are exactly the same and I got several new surprises to explore, like the Palomar College RB edition. I was leaving the dentist and while making some time until I could go and get a coffee started driving around and saw a big building in top of a hill and went there. There were not many cars in the parking lot so not sure if students are virtual or they go in buses (I so like a school type of bus circulating around). Everything looked very modern and the surrounding so pretty, with plenty of trees (the a plate telling the names) and very peaceful. The best for me were those views. Very mesmerizing during a cloudy day, I need to go during a sunny one and compare. Very cool spot to observe this wonderful land.

I wish more people knew about my alma mater. Marshall Goldsmith School of Management at Alliant…read moreInternational University. For some odd reason, it's a well kept secret. Not to business professionals, psychologists, and consultants but to many of my friends and family. I graduated with a Master's Degree in Organizational Behavior last year. I originally was in the PhD program for Consulting Psychology (the only one in the nation, by the way). Then, due to a lil' hiccup ... or should I say big bump ... or just call it like it is ---- This HAPPY lady got pregnant --- I ended up having to change my short-term educational goals from a PhD to a MA. I loved ALL my classes in Organizational Psychology, Consulting, Leadership, Organizational Change, Group Dynamics, Diversity, Human Resources, Performance Management, Assessment, Conflict Resolution, Organizational Culture, Training & Development, with one exception of Statistics (I sucked!). The coursework is challenging but gives the best preparation for the workforce! This is not considered a research-based education but more a practical and applied education that gives broad experience and knowledge. Internships are required in order to graduate which offers even one more leg-up to getting a job after graduation! The professors are well respected and connected! Marshall Goldsmith, it's namesake, is one of the world's most influential thinkers on business and management in the world! There are other significant thought leaders associated with my alma mater, too. Just a few examples are Ken Blanchard, Frances Hesselbein, Paul Hersey, Ken Shelton, Jim Kouzes, and Dave Ulrich. I am very interested in going back for their new degree. GREEN MBA (i.e., Sustainability, Three Bottom Lines, Corporate Social Responsibility). And the PhD in Leadership looks really kewl, too! What can I say? I'm a lifelong learner ... I just love school (even if that makes me a dork/geek!). The last thing I want you know is Alliant is a private, non-profit, accredited institution (much like Claremont Graduate University, Pepperdine, John F. Kennedy School, and Golden Gate University). It's really an honor to have graduated from MGSM at Alliant! The more of you YELPERS and THE WORLD that know about MGSM, the easier it will be for me and my fellow students to get hired or be high in-demand! I am not too excited when someone thinks my education was at a for-profit university, a university that is only offered on-line or one that has a campus in every city in America.

I know its not a glitch in the system because I can HEAR someone Breathing or someone talking in the background. this made me not be able to get into a class because no one accepted the form on MESAS SIDE. the same thing happened when I tried getting in on the second semester but this time I went into the school because I was not gonna deal with the phone crap trying to get a hold of someone. so I made my STEP FATHER take off work for the day to go talk to the student services, the front desk people are polite and I told them what happen with the phone stuff thwy apologize and said they will talk with the staff about it, they DIDNT... because I tried calling for a question about the website for Mesa. then after awhile I got into the class I wanted, first day, I came early to find the class and it was a SUB because the real teacher couldn't come in because he broke his hand, the sub wrote down everything we needed to do till we see eachother the next meeting day also which the teacher did NOT ADD ANY WEBSIGHT TO FIND CANVAS on the board on thw first day so i had to CALL THE SCHOOL AGAIN, WAITED A HOUR and had to give my information to another lady becauseonce again the firsr lady never does ANYTHING and had to get a email to my professor to get everything done. when I came in the next time I came early once more, also had everything DONE because I had to take a bus. I got onto canvas on my laptop because i haven't login to it on my laptop because i did my work on my home computer. once I am in canvas it said I am not ENROLLED IN ANY CLASSES so I went BACK to student services ask a man whats going on and showed my id, he said I got KICKED OUT BY THE PROFESSOR and said NO REASON ON THE COMPUTER...I was PISSED because I did the work and was not late and came to school...so I waited for ANOTHER SUB and she didnt know what happened or why the teacher KICKED ME...so I left that class even tho the sub said I can stay, I didnt want to stay because all this work for me just to get kicked OUT???. so I wrote the sub why did he kicked me out and I had to wait a few hours for him to reply, which with him I find reasonable because he got a broken hand and once I got the response he said I was not there on the first day...which I WAS because if I wasn't there on the first day how did I send him a picture of HIS white board of what the sub put on the first day sent to him because when asking for the canvas link I send the picture along with it, so I basically GAVE UP and left this school and NEVER COMING BACK to Mesa to deal with all this drama. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL.

Early last year, I had trouble getting scheduled for additional classes. After weeks of unanswered calls and emails, my current advisor eventually responded and did help me get enrolled. At the time, I appreciated the assistance. Now, however, the experience has completely changed. Since November, my advisor has stopped responding entirely. No callbacks, no email replies, nothing. My last class ended in December, and as we approach February, I am still not enrolled in new courses, despite repeatedly reaching out. This is especially stressful because I was planning to graduate this year, and the lack of support may delay that goal. Another advisor managed to enroll me in one class starting in March, but that still leaves an unnecessary gap in my academic schedule. What makes this more frustrating is that my advisor previously told me to reach out within a "reasonable amount of time" to avoid scheduling gaps, yet I did, and I still ended up with a gap. So I have to ask: what exactly is considered a "reasonable amount of time" if months of notice still isn't enough? Overall, this has been an exhausting, disappointing experience that has disrupted my education.
