When I need to refer patients to a naturopathic doctor or physical therapist, I send them to…read moreWildwood Medicine on India Street in Portland. Dr. Sasha Rose and Dan Katz are two professionals I trust wholeheartedly to do great work. They are kind, compassionate organized and professional. They are great communicators with patients and with other medical professionals as well. I highly recommend Wildwood Medicine. ~Dr. Lou Jacobs Jacobs Chiropractic Acupuncture Center

I've suffered from bruxism, TMJ, and a whole host of jaw and sleep problem for years now…read more Then I had a session with Dan Katz, licensed physical therapist and acupuncturist at Wildwood Medicine. After one session, the entire right side of my face became un-clenched (and "unlocked" -- those with TMJ will know what I'm talking about). I cannot believe the huge improvement. I will definitely be going back to Wildwood Medicine (continued treatment is recommended, at least for a few weeks) for both this issue and other issues as well. Also, there are several things I really love about this clinic: -- EXTREMELY professional staff; I work in the healthcare industry, and I can say with confidence that the patient care and facilities here are top-notch -- They take credit/debit cards (unlike many other acupuncture places) -- They allow walk-ins! -- Sliding scale from $20-40 for each regular visit ($30-50 the first visit). This is SO much more affordable than the average practice, both in Maine and nationally. -- Beautiful, clean building -- Extremely knowledgeable acupuncturist (I think it definitely helps that he's a licensed physical therapist, too). Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning!

This is a truly exceptional place…read more I tore my MCL four months back, and as a runner, it completely destroyed me and my whole life. I felt like I had no hope. I was walking home from the bus station one day and saw this place. I figured, why not call? What's to lose? They immediately were so kind, took my insurance, helped me. My PT, Dahne, is absolutely incredible. She has helped me go from barely being able to walk, to being able to climb Katahdin and run seven miles. She has listened to my goals and helped me achieve them- and it's hard work, but she pushes me and teaches me about how strong our bodies can be. I have never met another person that has inspired me so much in my fitness journey. I am so, so grateful for her. I'm still healing- MCL still gets spicy- and I'm so glad I have Dahne to help me. Being a chubby girl with an injury is embarrassing. But I never feel judged here. I cannot recommend enough.

I had no idea what to expect having never had a bad injury before that required PT but I am so…read morethoroughly impressed with Dirigo so far. Everyone from Sunny the patient care coordinator who is so quick to respond to any question to my amazing PT Liz to the other staff and patients, they're all kind, patient and use the most insanely cool high tech equipment. Seriously I felt like they could have rebuilt Steve Austin the six million dollar man, they definitely have the technology... :) I also love that you can check in when you arrive with your phone, very cool.
