Let me clarify that this endodontist (Dr. Kelly Walker) nor anyone at this location performed the original root canal. So this specialist was needed to correct a problem that occurred with the original root canal. The experience here was wonderful. Before she started anything, we discussed the anxiety that could occur because of this procedure. She was glad that I disclosed this issue because it changed her procedure just a little. She offered to take short breaks during the procedure, if necessary. I can't believe that there was no pain at all because she numbed me so very well and she was not rough during the procedure. I only felt slight pressure during the entire process (drilling thru the crown, scraping out the infected pulp and cleaning up). Even as the drugs began to wear off, the pain was not excruciating.
