My veal gulasch was perfect. The service had the usual East German charm; just nice and never pretentious. I flew all the way from the US with my friends to show them the wonderful Bauhaus architecture of the Kornhaus. We were planning on having dinner on the patio so I asked the waitress if they had an English menu before being seated. She grunted and shoved a menu at me. This older woman was the rudest and most unpleasant person I've come across in all of Germany. Quite a shame that such an ogre should represent the Kornhaus. Architecture and renovation gets 5 stars but her rude and contemptuous behavior towards customers rates less than 1 star! This woman is a disgrace to the hospitality industry. Management needs to sack her and retrain the staff. The Kornhaus deserves better.
