i contacted luckys because he was a business listed with the derby businesses listing of…read moresuggestions. the owner of the company (gary), told me on the phone while setting up the appointment for him to come and sweep the chimney told me it wouldnt be over $200.00. gary came out didnt put on shoe slippers brought in all his equipment on multiple trips set up and swept the chimney in about 30-45 minutes. never once went on the roof to check the stack. told me i had no kresote built up and to give him a call next year and charged me $275.00. went to have a fire a couple weeks later and smoke is going everywhere in the house. i called gary the next day and told him what had happened and he was giving a lot of excuses that it wasnt his problem and the wind will push smoke back down in the house. came out later and walked around the outside and then told me i had tree branches too close. did not do nothing to recheck just had his hands on his sides and said nothing he could do or anything he did. i made another appointment with another chimney sweep company and he came out a couple weeks later and tried to put a camera up my chimney but couldnt. he went up on the roof and found the previous owner had put somekind of a cover on the top of the stack. i was charged $200 from this company. i waited until after the holidays to contact gary with luckys and told him what he did not do and yet i was charged for a complete chimney inspection according to his receipt yet he never once went on the roof to inspect the stack and look down inside or clean out up on the roof. i explained to him all i wanted back from him was to be refunded $200.00 since he did not do what i was charged for. he stated he had no money, and hung up on me. i called back and we were talking again and it wasnt going his way and he hung up again i called back and he said he did not have time for this kind of a call and hung up again. this guy is very unprofessional and maybe at one time he may of known how to preform the job. but to be honest this guy should not be doing this job or any other job. i would never suggest this company or gary to any homeowner.
