My case was very hard and had been long and drawn-out, but she was able to bring things to a long-awaited close. She, and her staff, were available for my questions, and to make sure I always knew where I was in the process; as I had been with another attorney prior to her that left me in the dark, this was a gift to me. Any court proceedings or dealings with the judicial system are emotional and confusing for someone like me, and she made the process something I could deal with. We were able to get thru the event without going to court, which saved me money and a lot of heartache, and for that I'm grateful. Mediation was the route we took, but, Melissa was ready to go to court if necessary. I feel she fought on my behalf and ultimately that was what I needed in my lawyer. I felt I had lost in the marriage but I did not walk away feeling like a loser thanks to this firm and the whole staff. Nobody wins in a divorce, in my opinion... But, a good lawyer can help you end things as fairly as possible.

Her assistant tells me she will call me back or reply via email, and she never does. This has been going on for 3 months now, and she still has not responded. I don't think I have ever been treated so poorly. I don't want to start over with a new attorney, but I see no other option if the one I have has inexplicably stopped communicating with me for months. I do not recommend.

She has to call two or three times for him to finally call her back. He has yet to do anything about getting her divorce redone. She wanted something written up showing that she was to be custodial parent of her two kids. There again, he did not do that.
