I did feel guilty coming in having no pain, but I had concerns about a short leg that I didn't know if it was functionally or anatomically short. I didn't even know it could be both (which is what I had). I also came in about concerns over editing on the computer over long periods of time i.e. my right shoulder was always hunched up and tight and bad posture. There were other parts of the bones and muscles that I didn't even know were off (my mid-spine wasn't moving, my shoulder blade muscles weren't tight). Trigger points, EVERYTHING. I learned so much and was impressed at the service. I didn't know my neck could be adjusted at the base. Whether you're in pain and addressing it now, or you're like me that's addressing concerns early, Dr.Thompson will take care of you!

I have been a happy patient of Dr. Walter for the last 13 years. He has helped me work through…read morechronic neck pain from a car accident as well as dozens of sports-related injuries. Although he is a very gentile chiropractor, never forcing anything to move, he has never had a problem adjusting me, even when I am very locked up. As a 300# competitive powerlifter it is really hard to find a doctor who can work on me, being lucky enough to find someone who can work on me and not be absolutely brutal is a huge plus. Dr Walter obviously cares about his patients and has always been great about recommending xrays etc... when needed, always bills fairly with no crazy surprises, and although he isn't in every day of the week he is really great about getting me and my wife a quick appointment when we need it. I have recommended several friends and family and have never heard a bad comment about his care.

I began taking my son to Dr. Paul Walter after seeing an orthopedic doctor who said he had…read morescoliosis. He had also been complaining of neck and hip pain so since the orthopedic doctor couldn't do anything I figured a chiropractor wouldn't hurt. My search began on Blue Cross's website. It was daunting - I was surprised by how many chiropractors there were and I didn't know where to begin. So I narrowed it down by only those who were board certified and randomly chose Dr. Paul Walter and we could not be more pleased. He puts us at ease and my very uptight son finds him easy to be around. Aside from that he is very knowledgeable and good at what he does. My son leaves there feeling better. My husband has chronic back pain and had been to chiropractors years ago but didn't feel like they helped him. I tried to convince him to make an appointment but he wouldn't. After taking my son to his appointment he was impressed with him and wanted to give it a try. Days after his first visit he said he had not had pain after waking up in the morning at all that week (he would have pain daily upon getting up). So he made another appointment for a couple weeks after. Dr. Paul genuinely wants to help make his patients feel better and you realize that as soon as you meet with him. We moved to the Fox Valley area a couple years ago and I have had to find new doctors and other professionals and it hasn't always worked out this well so I wanted to share our experience with Dr. Paul in hopes of helping someone else find a great chiropractor.

Chiropractic medicine is a crock to some people, but I believe that it has some value as long as you find the right doctor. He was very honest and even said that he doesn't expect to see me on a regular basis and just wants me to improve. After my first appointment, I felt much better the next day.
