I flew with Allegiant to Orlando/Sanford FL. This is the tiniest airport I've ever gone through, which I like. I arrived a bit early for my flight and thought the place was closed, lol. The staff were nice, I went through TSA fairly quickly with no issues. I was able to download their app and scan our boarding passes, this was the smoothest trip I've ever taken. Everything was quick with an easy flow. If going to Florida, this will always be my default airlines. The only downside is the only fly specific days, but it's so worth it! read more

My husband called and booked this flight over the phone. The allegiant employee did not tell him we must bring a birth certificate for our one year old lap child. They tried to send us away but then told us if we bought him a ticket, we would not need the birth certificate. However, we'd have to go Walmart to buy him an airline approved car seat. All better options than staying home so we obliged. On the way back home from St Petersburg to Chattanooga, the stewardess MADE me wake my sleeping baby and place him In this car seat for everyone to listen to him cry and scream BECAUSE we had purchased him a ticket. Other mothers got to hold their 1 year old lap children but I had to place my now screaming child in a car seat because we had purchased the ticket for him. I'm positive no one heard the safety speech at the beginning of the flight because he was screaming so loudly, and he could have been sleeping soundly in my arms. Very small airport. 2 terminals They only have flights to and from Florida locations. It's simple, non complicated, but very thorough for safety . Every time I have flown with Allegiant from Concord, my flight has never been delayed. It has always taken off on time and sometimes arrives early to my destination. The cost is way less than flying from Charlotte Douglas. Nothing fancy, no first class, but I definitely recommend if you are traveling to Florida. read more

It differed a great deal from any flight experience I have had on other airlines but that wasn't an all together bad thing. First their price for a round trip ticket into Florida was competitive and the flight was smooth. The seats were roomy enough and my bags weren't lost. There was no paper waste as everything was done via app. There was no inflight entertainment on offer, and while I enjoyed the casual vibes of the flight I was surprised at the sheer amount of chintz on display at this airline. Flight for Lexington, KY was delayed 10 hours. Original flight was scheduled for 9:29 pm on Thursday, heavy rain delayed the plane we needed to board to land for over an hour. The plane kept being delayed (understandably) at 10:38pm it said we would be taking off. The plane was loaded and took off to get to the runway. After 10 minutes on the plane the pilot got on the speaker and informed the passengers we had to return back to the gate due to him being over his limit for flying hours. Waited another hour waiting to get back to the gate and off the plane for further instructions. Once off they indicated there would not be any flight for that night and were not able to get a different replacement pilot. Options were offered to return sometime on Friday (time undetermined but Atleast 10 hours delay), get a return on the ticket by calling customer service. Passengers were given $100 cash for the inconvenience to use to toward over, hotel, etc. quickly learned the "cash" was an email sent to passengers to put in bank info to get money sent to bank account or wait weeks for a card to be mailed. Flight was rescheduled for noon following day. Tried to give benefit of the doubt to airline prior to flying but this experience I can say will definitely influence my future flight choices. Very disappointing for missed plans at my destination! read more

However, parking is now 14 dollars a day and two bottled drinks and two bags of chips cost us $16 at the snack counter. Definitely bring a snack! Sooo, let me say this.....they leave at least 20 mins before they say they will. I saw multiple people get left because they arrived 30 mins before flight would have taken off. Some 45 mins before. Allegiant doesn't play! Maybe that's why they have alot of early arrivals and beat the other airlines out with this number. Make sure you check in online, the day prior, and arrive at least 2.5 hours ahead of scheduled departure to make way for security check, early boarding, and flight take off. Most of these airports that they flight into are small and don't have full out vast restaurants to choose from if you're hungry. Pack a snack.. no liquids will get thru security but if you drink or pour out your liquids, save the bottle, and more than likely, there is a filtered bottle station near the water fountains, that you can refill with water. Bottom line, be EARLY! Lateness, will get you left and stranded because they only fly out on certain days. Stay woke! Lol read more

We've flown Allegiant a few times now to Florida. The prices are great. We had one delay due to weather which was unfortunate and lasted 2 hours but that was due to lightening and could happen with any airline. The seats are fine for the price and other than the one delayed flight all others have been on time! TSA at the Concord, NC location are quite rude vs the TSA in Punta Gorda, FL are very nice. But either way I will continue to fly this airline to FL. You can't beat the prices! read more

Unfortunately there's no 0 starts to give here. There is no money that is worth your peace of mind with this airline. Flight 518 clt - Ft. Lauderdale got delayed more than twice. Just to say that it would be pushed for next day at 2:30 pm, claiming tired plane crew. There were people traveling for business, cruise connections and more; nevertheless, there was no professional response from the crew/ staff. I called the customer service and was also left hanging with no more solution than a $175 voucher at 12:30 am, for transportation, food, and hotel for this departure and re-scheduled day. read more

It was cheap and it is faster than driving, I arrived at Concord Regional on Allegiant from Fort Lauderdale. $110 for a ticket with checked bag and up front seat assignment which was way cheaper than both American and Delta. I'll warn you that they do not have a redundant network so if something goes bump (mechanical, crew, weather), you will not have a good time. But if all the stars align for you, no problems at all. Over 30 minutes waiting for bags at JQF today. I'm guessing that since they have limited flights, they only have a single crew unloading and loading bags on the plane. read more

After two flights with Allegiant, I expect they will be my last. Even with an Allegiant credit card ($59 annual fee) there seems to be no benefit unless you travel often and accumulate points. The advertised ticket prices usually seem like a bargain as long as you don't need a seat to sit in or have a checked bag (40lb limit) OR carry-on. (Yes, you have to pay for each). The added fees are ridiculous and (once totaled) aren't less expensive compared to online ticket prices of a major airline. Although masks are still required, physical distancing IS NOT possible in the overcrowded gates OR packed-full airplanes no matter how many times they repeat it over the intercom. Both legs of our last flight were 30+ minutes late. I will miss the smaller airports and easier/friendlier TSA process but it's not worth the ridiculous fees read more

Add that to your ticket price and you'll see it would have been better flying SW. Needless to say, I'll never use Allegiant again, I won't use them to go to Raider games at Allegiant Stadium in Vegas. This airport is easily accessible but note the address GPS directs you to. There is this regional airport and another private airport close by. Parking upper deck $4/day or covered deck &5/day In terms of cost it's cheap but of course there is other nickle & diming going on. This means that everything is an additional cost. It's all disclosed on their website and posted to see upon arrival to the airport plus it's announced. Print your boarding ticket or it's $5. Purchase carry-on bag on line or it's $50 at the airport. Seat changes cost more or nothing depending on the location. The 4 stars are for website navigation. Important tasks like printing boarding pass is not that obvious. 4 star are for the inability to board along side my husband because each of our seats were in a different zone. He was 3 for an aisle seat and I was 6 for a middle seat. Seems backwards. Know that the plane is right outside the gate so there's no access boarding gate so a ramp must be used. All in all a good alternative to the bigger airlines at good price. If traveling lightly is your norm then this airline is to be considered. read more

To say the counter agents are completely lazy morons would be an understatement. Huge line at counter and 2 of the 3 agents were busy scratching their butts while the third agent was fumbling on her computer. The 2 butt scratchers finally got going once some customers said they were going to miss their flight. The staff at Allegiant are all extremely friendly. They are accommodating especially if you are a newbie. The first time I flew I didn't realize there was the 40 lb limit. They allowed me to move items around until I reached close to the correct pounds. She also was kind enough to encourage us to check in on line to save $5.00 each otherwise we would have had that charge as well. While they charge for each item as long as you are careful you can still get great deals flying Allegiant. Cheers! read more

I'm giving 4 stars for the cost and convenience of the airport, not necessarily the airline itself. We fly out of Concord. These are cheap flights and small planes. We travel a lot more because of cost. Since the seats are so crowded we won't use Allegiant for any trip over 2 hours. Be aware when you check cost of flights and start to proceed, you will pay extra for select seats and luggage. The food and drinks are credit card only. Phenomenal people watching on these flights lol.... Staff has always been friendly. We've flown with Allegiant probably 30-40 times maybe more. read more

This was my first and LAST time traveling with Allegiant. I booked a flight from USA to MSY, based on the rate and the recommendation of a friend. I was greatly displeased with the experience. I was traveling with 7 other ladies to the Essence Festival in New Orleans, and each person had a horrible experience. Our flight was set to depart around 3:30 pm. The flight was boarded nearly 30 minutes late. Once we were boarded late, it started to rain. The pilot stated that that flight would depart after the rain slowed. About 20 minutes later the pilot announced that the flight would depart shortly. Nearly 30 minutes later the pilot stated that there was a computer glitch and a company was contacted to guide the flight path without success. Later the pilot announced that the glitch would require a mechanic to assess and fix the problem. During this time, the air circulation within the plane was limited and the flight staff began to distribute bottled water, which is evidence that the temperature was quite warm. Over 1.5 hours from boarding, the pilot requested passengers to depart the plane to wait inside at the gate for the mechanic. At this point, we are nearly 2 hours past our scheduled departure time. While waiting at the gate, only 3 announcements were made over a 4.5 hour period. First, we were told that the mechanic was in route and the issue would be corrected quickly. After the mechanic arrived, we were alerted that the issue could not be fixed and a rescue flight was requested. At around 8:30 pm, the flight was rescheduled to 3:45 pm the following day (7/7/18). Please note, that at this point, passengers had spent nearly 7+ hours at the airport. For nearly 4 hours, no staff was available to address customer issues, even after a manager was requested by several customers. At around 6 pm, an outside staff member stated, "The flight has been canceled. I am not sure why they (management) will not tell the passengers. It's been canceled." At this point, my group had lost out on a full night's stay at a very expensive hotel and VIP services at a premiere event. We were also inconvenienced, as we were forced to book a red-eye flight with another airline at a rate of $500 per person. An additional expense that we did not expect. We were told that we could either receive a refund for our flight or keep the flight scheduled for 3:45 pm the next day. Of course, this would mean that passengers traveling to the festival would also lose another day of festivities. As you could imagine, chaos ensued. Only 2 staff managers were available to address the issue, process refunds and provide hotel vouchers. The staff were a bit rude, impatient and unable to provide any concrete answers as to why the flight was grounded. After 7+ hours in the airport, mixed information and 5 calls to customer care, we were able to get Shannon (rep with Allegiant) on the phone. She was the only pleasant Allegiant staff person that we encountered on 7/6/18. She was able to refund the amount of the departing flight for 4 of the people in our group so that we could apply it to our new flight with American. We were then forced to stand in line for another 2 hours to wait for a hotel voucher. The manager then hassled us for over 1 hour, stating that we were not due a hotel voucher because we opted not to take the 3:45 p Allegiant flight scheduled for the following day. The customers in our group had traveled 2.5 hours to USA and would be stranded without a voucher. After much discussion and education to the manager on the value of customer service, he decided to provide a hotel voucher. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told that no rooms were available and that we needed to travel to another hotel. At approximately 1:30 am, we finally received our hotel keys. We received little sleep as we had a 9 am flight that morning. The experience was absolutely horrible and it is highly unlikely that I will ever fly with Allegiant again. read more

Allegiant has a new terminal. It's brand new! The lines are quick. Once you get through TSA there is food on the waiting side. All of the employees, Concord customer service, TSA, the police officers and Allegiant are so friendly and helpful. There is not pre check at this terminal. Parking is free the first hour. After that, parking is $6 a day uncovered and $7 a day covered. Pay with debit/credit card. Cash is excepted inside in the lobby. Lost ticket fee is $50. The parking deck is parking for all long term and short term parking. Don't park in front of the terminal or any where but the parking deck. The officers will have you move immediately. You can only stop to pick up/drop off. There is Enterprise, Budget/Avis on the property. Terminal is only open when there are flights. Times vary. read more

Gate closed unless you had checked in electronically. Check in counter was closed. Deserted. Empty. No one to talk to. No one would let us to the gate to check in there. Our flight was originally delayed by 15 minutes. As the delay stretched longer and longer, no one could officially tell us what was going on or how long we would wait, only that they would not give any refunds but that we could transfer flights to another day without penalty. However in order to even do that, we would have to leave to go to the ticketing office, which was outside the TSA security checkpoint. TSA had left by then (with stancheons up that prevented anyone from leaving), so our fear was that of we left, and didn't get rebooked, we couldn't come back and wait for our current flight since there was no security left. We waited for over 2 hours with no information. Eventually we were told that we would be leaving FOUR hours late. We eventually did, but after asking what would happen since we would arrive in Sanford five hours before the rental car agency counter opened (or three hours after it closed), we were told that we would just have to wait or ask them when we got there. When we got there there were no employees of allegiant there to ask so we asked the allegiant luggage check in supervisor, who was working with departing flights and she said she was just contracted through allegiant (though she had an allegiant shirt on and was working at an allegiant counter) and that I had to contact allegiant customer care...which was closed then since it was 4 am. She also said we would have to wait for five more hours for our rental car and there was nothing she could do even though we booked the car through allegiant. At least the rental car agency was open and had good customer service (unlike allegiant) and we didn't have to camp out for five additional hours. We heard no updates until we has already been sitting there for hours. And even when we had an update, we were never, to this day, provided with an explanation. Terrible, terrible customer service. We were there with a friend who was waiting for over 6 hours for her flight to St. Petersburg FL. This is not a stand-alone incident. read more

Allegiant Airlines, I was on flight 2138 yesterday with "nonstop service" from Orlando Sanford to Concord NC. Our flight was initially delayed for "mechanical issues". We boarded, were then deplaned (still in Sanford) and loaded up onto another plane. When we descended into Concord, our pilot had to pull up abruptly TWO times because of missed approaches. This scared many people on the plane, but that's not the worst part. Many people on the plane had family members on the ground who were waiting for their arrival. We'll get back to that in a little bit. We were told since our pilot couldn't land us, Allegiant instructed him to RETURN to Sanford. Everyone was disappointed by that decision, considering there were dozens of closer airports to divert to. On our way back to Sanford, we were told we would stop in Savannah to refuel. While we were stretching our legs on the jet bridge, we were told we would attempt Concord again. A few moments later, we were told the jetbridge hit the door of the plane and we would be grounded until further notice. Remember those people sitting at the airport in Concord waiting for their loved ones? At this point, most of them finally had a chance to talk to their loved ones. While they were at the airport, Allegiant REFUSED to give them any answers about what happened to the plane and why it didn't land. They hid from the terrified people who wondered why their loved ones' plane didn't land. When I finally called my mother from Savannah, she was hysterically crying and told me that her and three other people stood outside in the 46 degree rain to watch for the plane at the fence, when Allegiant couldn't give them any answers as to where it was. Was Allegiant scared to hint that their pilot was incompetent because other planes were landing safely at that time? Whatever it is, it's not fair what they put the people on the ground through yesterday. My flight was supposed to arrive at 2:29 PM and finally got in around 12:30 midnight. 10 hours late. The flight attendants did their best to accommodate passengers, however we were told we were only allowed one free snack and drink & the FA's were too flustered to accept payments. Many people missed lunch and dinner during this ordeal, including children, and the least Allegiant could do is offer up snacks to these people who were unable to eat meals. One flight attendant, Debbie, stood out from the rest and we could really tell she had the best intentions for everyone on that plane. She did the best she could to keep everyone comfortable, while still trying to follow Allegiant's stingy orders. All in all, this was my first flight experience with Allegiant. As a fairly frequent flyer with other airlines, I opted for Allegiant because the airport is small, convenient and only 5 minutes from my house. I understand that mechanical problems happen. I even get that the pilot didn't feel comfortable with landing the plane (maybe he needs to be trained better). What I can't forgive is the terrible communication from Allegiant to our loved ones on the ground and the bad call to "send us back to Sanford", where I'm sure you would have deplaned us & cancelled the flight, leaving us stranded. I literally could have driven from Orlando to Concord NC faster and made it there safer than I felt on your plane. Please use this as a learning opportunity because there were many people on our flight who swore to never fly Allegiant again and never allow their friends & family to either. This will do nothing but give me a public platform to express my opinion on the experience I had with Allegiant. Hopefully this might help whoever reads this (probably not Allegiant) and this is from personal experience, that when you are dealing with giving service to the public you put on a happy face regardless of you having a bad day or you have some repressed feelings and you deal with situations appropriately. I have been a customer with Allegiant for quite some time now and have never had any issues as far as being harassed or discriminated in any way. That changed when my sister and I were returning home after a vacation to visit family in another state that we do many times a year. All passengers had been through security and patiently waiting for the plane to arrive. Most had a carryon and 1 personal item as did we. It was almost time to board and one of the two gate attendants that were female employees I'm guessing in their 50's approached us and insisted that our carryon was to big and we would need to be charged extra to have it put in the belly of the plane due to a full flight. I'm not sure how this changed since it is a hard case roller bag that we paid an additional fee for that we always use and meets all rules and regulation requirements. We then unzipped and zipped the roller bag as she instructed and she approved. She did not do this to anyone else's bag as we observed. Then as both of them were taking our tickets they decided that my personal item was not in compliance, but guess what, it was in compliance. This harassment took up a lot of our time and we felt like we had become a target to show us their authority since that flight had consisted of mostly men or men and women flying together. There were not many single women like us in our 30's flying solo that night. Very disappointed. read more

Pros: Initially, less expensive. Each flight left on time, boarding was smooth, and each flight arrived on time at the destination. Cons: All the hidden charges that make you question "am I really saving that much money for all of this additional hassle?" ie: after paying for the flight, you have to pay for your seat, then for your baggage regardless of whether your checking baggage or carryon. You are paying for baggage. Period. Plus the weight limit is 40lbs. If you don't pre-pay for your luggage the price is 2x more at the airport. IT PAYS TO PREPAY FOR YOUR LUGGAGE IN ADVANCE! If you don't pre-print your ticket or download the app to your phone so the airline can scan the ticket from your phone, you have to pay $5 to have the airline print it for you. It's easy to download the app and convenient=saves money. I recommend this option. Much easier than rooting around for the paper ticket. Do not expect a free beverage or snack on this airline. Nothing is free on this airline. The seats/leg room are TIGHT. Tolerable for a short flight but I think at 5'8" sitting in the middle seat I would have really started to suffer if my flight had been much longer than the 1.5hours it was. Overall: I'm not certain that I really saved all that much money flying with Allegiant, and I was annoyed with all of these additional/hidden charges I wasn't accustomed to with other airlines. The flight staff were...OKAY. The screaming baby in front of me the entire flight was not the airlines fault, but I wish the attendants would have addressed the issue with the parents as the parents only put on headphones and ignored the matter for everyone else to suffer through. At the end of the day, the flights were on time and I arrived alive and in one piece and that's really the main thing to me. I'd probably consider flying this airline again. read more

We went to guest services and the woman was on her phone for 2-3 mins before she even acknowledged me standing there, there was NO staff at the check in luggage area which made us 2 mins "late" for check in and were told we had to throw out all of our big bottles of liquids (I threw away over $300 worth of things due to their absence) and ALL the staff had HORRIBLE attitudes towards everyone. A flight attendant informed me that he would ensure that my bag made it onto the plane and because he failed to do so, my luggage is now lost. As of today it has been lost for a week. When I approached allegiant team members at the airport about it, they responded all the same and referred me to the customer care service in Las Vegas Nevada. I have tried numerous times to call customer service and the wait time varies but is no less than 45 minutes for each call. It didn't seem to get anywhere when I called, they told me that there wasn't much they could do. I was forced to buy an entire new wardrobe on my vacation because I had no clothes or shoes (they were in my luggage, the luggage that the allegiant employee failed to load onto the plane). I am highly unimpressed with the customer service I have received in regards to allegiant taking responsibility for losing my luggage and making the effort to contact me in regards to a refund for the $900 collateral value of my luggage. If I do not receive a refund or information regarding my luggage soon, I will take the necessary steps to ensure that allegiant is held responsible. read more
