Beautiful popular spot in Helsinki. There is a great patio, rooftop terrace, and sauna and pool area. The drinks are also good here and it's a fun area to hang out. We moved inside because all the smoking was bothering me but besides that it was a great experience. read more

I visited Allas Sea Pool while on vacation in Finland, and it was fantastic! I would definitely recommend the experience. Entry to the pool is €12, which I found to be very reasonable. The price gets you an electronic wristband, allowing you entry into all areas (pools and saunas) as well as locker access for a 10 hour period. Re-entry is also allowed, which was extremely useful for me - I was staying a little bit outside of the city, and so I brought a day pack, stashed it in a locker and went to explore the city before returning later in the afternoon to swim. There are three pools which overlook the marina area, so it feels like you're swimming right by the ocean. They are different temperatures, and I believe one is a seawater pool. The pool deck is large and there are a number of deck chairs available for use, however it's also possible to just relax on a towel. Allas additionally has three saunas - male, female and mixed. They are not huge and can fit maybe 15-20 people each, so bear in mind at busy times it could get crowded. A swimming costume is required for the mixed sauna, however in the single sex saunas it is traditional to go in the nude. I believe all saunas are set at the same temperature, therefore there isn't much difference between any of them besides the people. There is also a restaurant and bar onsite, and on the day that I was there, a music festival was running as well, however this was an additional cost not previously included in the entry price. Overall, I'd say Allas is a great place to visit, whether or not you want to swim. Entry is cheap enough that you could go over for a quick dip and also experience Finland's sauna culture, and still get your money's worth. Forget Taylor Swift's "Shake it off": here, we (same tune) "Sweat it out"! Allas Sea Pool is right in the Helsinki Harbour, which is amazing if you're visiting the city for just a brief time and want to get in some of the well-known local "sauna culture". Allas Sea Pool is quite a complex: restaurant, upper deck, three pools, saunas, change rooms. Although some regulars seemed to be swimming laps, it's also possible to have a day-only pass (12 Euro) which entitles you to 10 hours of access to all the amenities. There seem to be special events held here, too, such as surf courses and kids' birthdays (I witnessed a clown or three being thrown into the pool). Great place to hang out in the summer. We visited only for drinks, so this review is not based on the food. Comfy relaxing chairs and good music. There are both seapools and normal swimming pools. Lots of seating options on the roof, by the pools, in the bar area and even in the steps. read more

Coming to Helsinki, I had to go to a sauna and the Allas Sea Pool has it all at an affordable price. The 12 euros price includes all day entrance to the pools and sauna but be sure to bring your own towel, shampoo and conditioner. There are 3 locker rooms, a mens, women, and coed. You get a wristband that you can use to lock a locker where you store your stuff. Inside the locker room are the showers and a huge sauna. The sauna can definitely fit a good 20 or so people. Once you step outside, there are 3 pools, the freshwater pool, kids pool (closed in the winter), and Baltic sea pool. The pools had a great view of the harbor and you can watch boats come in and out of the harbor. We came during the winter so the freshwater pool was nice and heated while the Baltic sea pool was freezing below 40 degree F. It was a once in a lifetime thing, so we had to jump into the Baltic Sea Pool which we only stayed in for seconds before jumping out. I can see why this is such a popular thing in Finland and I wish this was something we did in the US. read more

This is the only swimming pool that is still open during Covid times in Helsinki. It has a splendid location, facing the Baltic Sea and also near the center. The scenery is quite marvelous no matter it's winter or summer, sunny or moonlight-bathing. The changing room is just a bit crowded and ladies usually have to wait for quite some time to use the hairdryers. But other than that, nothing to complain about at all. Remember to bring your own towers and flip-flops. The price is €15 single ticket and €120 for 10 times. read more

We didn't actually go in but it looks to be a great place to enjoy sauna and pool. They have also built a really outdoor cool bar/cafe that you can check out a great view without paying for a drink. read more

This was a highlight of my stay in Helsinki. The pools was a perfect temperature. The sauna was clean. The cafe was yummy. And the decks and sandy workout area had a perfect view of the harbor. I want to go back to Helsinki just so I can visit Allas Sea Pool again. read more

Wow. I was in Helsinki for one day and wanted to eat, drink and check out the Sauna lifestyle. After doing a day trip food tour with Heather's Fork in Hand walking tour, she recommended the Allas Sea Pool for the sauna and maybe a swim in the heated pool or sea pool that was currently 0 degrees C or 32 degrees F. It was close to the train station so I was game. I paid a few euro for my ticket and an extra 10E total for the suit and towel rental and went to sauna town. Sauna was fun - did that for 15 min then dipped in the icy cold sea pool...it was amazing. read more
