Avoid This Lawyer at All Costs - Incompetent, Unethical, and Harmful…read more I had an extremely distressing experience with this attorney, and I feel a responsibility to warn others. From the start, he was unresponsive and disinterested. He missed court appearances, failed to return calls or emails, and completely ignored the documents and evidence I sent him--often dismissing everything as "not significant" without explanation. Rather than advocating for my interests, he pressured me to accept a settlement that was absurdly low and clearly not in my best interest. It became increasingly clear that he was not just passive but completely unfit to handle litigation. He is not a litigator as he claims and took the case anyway, wasting critical time. His attitude was indifferent, lazy, and at times, it felt like he was working against me rather than for me. His negligence caused real harm to my case, and his actions (and inactions) were not only unprofessional but deeply unethical. If you're looking for a lawyer who will actually fight for you, communicate with you, and take your case seriously - look elsewhere. The attorney demonstrated poor credentials, having graduated from a mediocre law school and possessing minimal practical experience, which was evident in his lack of skill, confidence, and judgment throughout the case. This experience was a nightmare, and no one should have to go through what I did.

This attorney is utterly dishonest and has no business representing clients. He works in the…read moreinterest of the opposing side, not his own client, routinely ignoring critical documents, failing to respond to emails, and missing court appearances without explanation. He is not a litigator by any stretch--he avoids confrontation, appears intimidated by opposing counsel, and crumbles under basic legal pressure. He lies shamelessly, claiming to have reviewed files he clearly hasn't read, and regularly pushes his client to accept insultingly low settlements that serve no one but the other side. On top of that, he is rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, creating more problems than he solves. His behavior is not just negligent; it is unethical.

That being said, if you've decided that your situation dictates that you do it, Anderson Shen is the law firm to help you. The whole experience was very professional and never did I feel like my case was unimportant to my lawyer, Mr. B. Hirschhorn. He explained everything about the process and did not pull any punches when laying out what I had to do and why. I appreciated his knowledge, candor, and professionalism. More importantly, when dealing with the trustee, he fought on my behalf to have my payments be as affordable as possible, given my filing situation (Chapter 13). Because of this experience, I feel like I now have a better handle on effective budgeting from here on out. Anderson Shen's prices are indeed affordable and the process, from initial meeting, to 341 meetings, to approval of my bankruptcy plan was NO WAY NEAR as terrible as I expected. Dare I say, it was a positive experience. I just want to thank Mr. Hirschhorn, and Anderson Shen for all of their help. I would not hesitate to maintain a relationship with this firm for other legal matters. Darryl D. Queens, NY

The responsiveness has…read morebeen very inconsistent and we are struggling to hear back in a responsive and efficient manner and get work done. Our repeated feedback has fallen on deaf ears and the process keeps being dragged as ball falls on our court while we are ready with all documents for submission. I imagine they are overworked or overburdened but this shouldn't happen to cases they have already decided to work on. While Sunjae was initially very responsive to our questions, once a payment was made responses haven't been timely and work on our forms had plenty missing and mistaken information on very basic aspects. We didn't receive any apologies after pointing these out and corrections and revisions take forever for them to make. Disappointed and wouldn't recommend. Making an addition here following the filing of our case. Sunjae filed the same picture as evidence for two different occasions despite our well organized folders of pictures as a couple. When I pointed the mistake out, no apologies, and coming up with suggestions as to how "we" as the couple can correct it.... I am baffled and really recommending against this company.

This law firm has been the most unprofessional and unorganized business I've ever dealt with. From…read morethe receptionist to the paralegals and attorneys. For starters you will be met with a disgusting attitude and condescending behavior from the staff. 4-8 weeks if you are lucky is their average reply time to any questions, concerns, or inquiries. Upon reply to you will be provided with incorrect information such as: point of contact, process of paperwork, incorrect address to medical centers etc. They lack any concern for their clients and only care about their coin. Here's my experience with each staff: Oneida Garcia (The paralegal Manager): Oneida's attitude was by far the most disgusting and unprofessional behavior I've ever witnessed in a law office. Her disregard for her client's time, and over the top witty responses that have no place in a professional setting, such as: ridicule laughter, Use of inappropriate slang, scoffing, dismissive nature etc. She was the biggest disservice to this law firm. She lacks respect for those in the community she serves due to her incorrect assumption and generalizing people based on where they live. After speaking to Ms. Garcia and addressing her behavior her response was followed by a laugh and said, "and it will continue to happen". Not only is her behavior known but Ms. Garcia thinks it's funny. Sheila Marinez (Paralegal): we went through 3 paralegals in the span of 6 months and each one had no idea what was going on with our case. Sheila was our last paralegal and we spoke to her maybe 3 times tops because every time we had an issue and called to speak to her, she was on vacation. (One can only vacation so much in a year). Nona Shikh: we met this lady once and shook her hand when she wanted our business. In the span of 6 months, we would call the law firm and ask to speak to the attorney to get updates on our case and they always said we will forward your message and have the attorney call you. On 05/31/2023 I am still awaiting that call. When we were finally ready to end our case and underwent treatment with their doctors that they do business with. Nona was quick to send a letter saying she was ready to drop us. Guess this is how this law firm makes their money, after they finish scamming people, they just drop you, and don't even have the decency to give you an explanation over the phone. Denise (The receptionist): she was always very nice when answering the phone.
