Made To Clean & NallimCam…read more Owner Jack MacMillan is incredibly intimidating and unprofessional to staff. He threatens his employees with wage deductions in the event they are robbed. Does not explain his contract or provide proper training. Refuses to pay labour even when the employee is still on the clock. Example: you are training and take "10 minutes too long" due to traffick or poor parking explanations for client locations. Jack believes you are not entitled to be paid. If you work for him, ensure you write down all of your hours. He does not provide WHMIS training despite having cleaners working with heavy chemicals. And does not allow non-slip shoes. He is very threatening, for example stating if you accidentally break one of his "expensive" vacuums you will also have that amount ($700) deducted from your wages. For a company that claims to have such a high volume of customers, income and insurance - it seems incredibly predatory to continuously threaten staff with these things. Especially when he claims to hire mostly young single mothers. He uses connections with clients as leverage to try to intimidate new hires- stating to me he knew many powerful people so I should watch my back and that he has taken several people to court before if I had a problem with him taking money from me. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable in less than 3 days. BEWARE.
