We also have a 10 year old daughter that was nervous around her because of these behaviors. Though we've had success with weekly classes with previous dogs, we knew we needed additional support with this dog, and after consultation, Smart K9 recommended the 4 week day training program. The trainers asked lots of questions regarding our lifestyle and goals for training, and tailored her program to best meet our needs, along with the needs of our dog. They even encouraged our daughter to attend our individual sessions so she could work on being less nervous and have a better relationship with our pup. Our dog progressed very well, and since graduating from her initial program, she's also completed off leash program, and is in daycare twice a week to maintain consistency in her training, plus she loves it there! When we got her, she was quite reactive and nervous around people, dogs, and really anything new. Within a couple months, she can walk into a busy store, and not only behave, but be comfortable. Smart K9 helps us problem solve when new issues arise, as she is still a fun, energetic, and occasionally mischievous pup. The trainers check in often regarding how our dog is doing with our daughter, and with the guidance we've received, our daughter is now completely comfortable with our dog. We feel confident that we have the skills and tools to continue to work with our pup to grow into a well mannered, happy, adult dog. We couldn't be happier with our progress, and strongly recommend Smart K9! Thank you Madison, Emilee, and the rest of the wonderful Smart K9 team!

My dog got kennel cough in less than two weeks of being at this facility, I am fairly sure it was from there because he does not go anywhere expect my house and back yard because he is reactive and thats why we were starting training. The vet said he should not be around other dogs for 3-4 week and the owner encouraged me to bring him back while he would still would be contagious! I doubt they told the other owners that are currently enrolled that there dogs were exposed to kennel cough! Because of thier very concerning reaction to our dog getting sick and how they handled it I don't want to take him back there and they are unwilling to give any money back for services that were not preformed and are unwilling to talk! please read that contract very carefully if for any reason your dog got killed or lost or anything nothing is on them and you would still owe them thousands of dollars.

We have used Fetchers for several years and our pets typically come home with minor issues - eye…read moreinfection, ear infection, kennel cough (once), but our recent visit was SIGNIFICANTLY different. After a 5 day boarding stay, our large dog came home with a partially ripped out toenail, red and inflamed toes on another foot, an eye infection, an ear infection, and punctures and deep tissue bruising on his neck from an e-collar. After a very expensive visit to the vet, we learned that he also has a staph infection on his feet and neck. While I understand that minor injuries can and do happen when dogs play, these are outside of the realm of what I would consider acceptable. Shannon, the manager, was responsive and accountable, which is why I am giving a two star review as opposed to one star. Her communication was professional and she followed up daily to check on our dog. Jack, the owner, was accusatory and went so far as to suggest that we caused the injuries to our own dog. He spent 40 minutes telling me that they have excellent quality control and that their staff finds injuries and doesn't cause them. At one point I had to get my husband on the phone to attest to the fact that he removed our dog's e-collar the day of pickup, which is absolutely ridiculous. When Jack asked me how I knew that the injuries happened at his facility, I responded that our dog arrived without injuries and was picked up with injuries. I am not sure that it can get more clear than that. I am hugely disappointed in Jack's refusal to take responsibility or handle my concerns with even the smallest amount of compassion. He swiftly and effectively removed any consideration I had of continuing our boarding relationship with Fetchers. This whole ordeal has cost us nearly $1,500 and begrudgingly Fetchers has agreed to pay $554 of one of the vet bills, as well as a credit on account for a future visit. Jack was condescending, insensitive, and refused to take any sort of accountability for my dog's injuries. If you choose to use this facility, beware.
