I really wish I had done some research before spending my money and exhausting my patience at this business. On Friday September 9th and 10th 2022, I took four very large, custom cushions (for an outdoor rattan sofa) to be reworked. Paid more than $750 deposit (on a $1900 job) to cover the cost of fabric and foam. And so began my frustration. I WAS warned about possible long lead time for supplies. And I did wait several weeks before stopping in to check on the status of my job. No supplies had arrived and my items were waiting where I'd left them. In November, Jazz assured me that my job would be done the week after Thanksgiving. When that deadline came and went without a call from him, I visited in early December. Not only was my job not complete, my items were still clearly visible -- untouched -- where I'd left them in September. Jazz promised that he'd complete my job by December 13th, then by December 20th, then by "right after Christmas." It's now February 26th 2023 and my job is not finished. I've been to the shop nearly a dozen times since September. Each time I get excuses for why my job is not complete, how overworked he is, how I'm next in line, how he had to do an entire trailer before he could do my job, how I'll "have it by next week," blah, blah, blah. I've tried being nice. I've tried being understanding. I was patient until I had no more patience. I even tried bribery by giving him a 10-pound bag of potatoes in December. I've tried expressing my frustration. I've let him know that I'm angry and disappointed. Next stop: Small claims court (where he's been a defendant dozens of times since 1993). I have an Airstream and it is difficult to buy a "normal" couch to fit. So, I decided to get my original reupholstered instead. I looked at many options, but the photos of their work on Facebook were amazing... I drove out and met the owner, a hard working man who works his fingers to the bone (literally). I adore supporting local business and this is a great black owned local business. His work is extraordinary and this craft is a dying one... we are losing people who can perform these amazing tasks and it breaks my heart. Yelp originally had an old address and phone, I fixed that. The shop itself is falling apart he is so busy he can't even find time to fix it. Don't let that fool you! There are a ton of fabrics to chose from, but make sure he calls to check and see if it's available in the quantity you may need. My first choice was on backorder and this delayed my finished product. He ended up working through a holiday to complete my couch, because he knew I didn't have anything else to sit on. His work is worth every penny and I wish him much success! I will be back to do a couple of other items as well. #allthatjazzupholstery is amazing! read more

Buyer Beware before doing business with this firm. Check out BBB, Yelp and FB comments carefully. We had a horrific experience. On 8/10 I gave "Jazz" a $500 deposit to replace upholstery on 2 seats, 2 door panels and replace the dash on my wife's car. He ordered materials while I was present, stating it would only take about 1 1/2 hours for each seat and dash about 20 min. I agreed to leave my car on 8/14 and he said he would call me when it was ready. A week later, I called to see if the car was ready. He said one of his staff had quit and he needed a couple more days. I called 6 more times in the next two weeks and there was always a reason it would take a few more days. I visited the shop on 9/13 and the driver's seat was out but the passenger seat hadn't been touched. Neither door panel had been completed. I told him I wanted him to put the driver seat back in so I could drive the car away the next day. I had lost confidence in him after he had it for 27 workdays. I called him on 9/14 to confirm the car was ready for me to drive and he said he needed a couple more hours. When I arrived about 6 pm with my wife, we were horrified to see not only the driver seat was not installed, but the passenger seat had been removed making it impossible to drive it away. When confronted he said he had "a plan" to get it together by tomorrow. One might conclude that he deliberately disregarded my instructions so I couldn't drive the car to another shop. My wife loved this car and she was devastated beyond words! I had it towed to Headliners where Mike and Bob had it ready in 4 workdays despite having to order a $350 electrical part that "Jazz" had damaged beyond use. Plus, the passenger air bag light wouldn't go off. Jazz has the "art of the excuse" down to a science. Buyer Beware! read more

I drove my truck to jazzy to have the interior done. He told me he could have it done in a month easy. So I gave him his deposit of 600.00 an got a finish date on my birthday. Well need less to say, I had to get the police to help me get my truck. Job not finished, sloppy work and he has lied to me Everytime I talked to him. My truck did not run when I went to pick it up. So I had to pull it next door to Barton's radiator service to CK on the starter. The next morning I had to call the police again. He had come during the night an cut up the passenger seat. We will be going to court. He is a living , new York husseler. He's black, an has 1 bad eye. Be careful of him, he will steal from you, and like the whole time. It has been a complete nightmare dealing with this business. He needs to go back to New York ,an not return.. allot of older people here in Aiken feel the same way as myself. He talks a good game but does not complete the job like he says. He's to busy patting himself the back. I took my pontoon in to him 13 months ago. He keeps promising all these dates when it would be ready. They all come and go and my boat is still not finished. I'm contacting my attorney and will be suing. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Also with Consumer Affairs for the State of South Carolina. This was a job that should have been completed in no more a month. And because of him I will be having clean the carpet again because of mildew, and bearings will have to be repacked and new battery bought read more

The work is fantastic. I had them reupholster a chair that I absolutely loved and it came back and I love it even more. The workmanship is impeccable. I will go back and get work done that I wouldn't have bothered with until I saw what a great job they did. read more
