My car was there Friday to Friday and the technicians sent me constant updates with pictures even videos through out the course of the work being done. Kevin was pleasant to deal with and communicative from before I got there to make my first appointment all the way until I picked my vehicle up when it was done. He was especially helpful with working with my work schedule being that I work until late at night well after they close. Will be coming back for any other work I need done to my car if needed. I listened in as the attendant was working with the previous client, when it comes to a woman going into a maintenance shop there is that stigma with women and car shops. I'm always on alert when I'm at a car shop because mechanics have been known to overcharge women. When it was my turn I had said i was there for my appointment, but the massive American flag outside is what made me ask this question. I had asked if this was a locally owned shop which they agreed but I asked what their stance is on the climate of the country and they said they all have different stances. As a veteran who served this country I don't feel comfortable giving my money, my car or the belongings in my car to this shop. Or leaving my car unattended with them. I stated this, and this attendant started telling me about this and that. I don't care. I care about my community, and if my money is going to the right places. And I got my confirmation that it is not here.

Multiple people were involved in my oil change and they were quick and respectful/professional. They did offer other services, but I would say that they were services that I needed. That said, one "no" was all it took to get for them to offer the next service. They weren't pushy at all, nor did they try to make me fell bad about declining. It was $30 for an oil change with regular oil. I didn't ask how much an oil change with synthetic oil was. This was definitely a much better experience than Jiffy Lube. I wavered between giving this 4 or 5 stars because I don't know what the difference would be at an oil change station.

I have been going to Gary's for over a decade now and they always do good work for me. I've had everything from small jobs (check engine lights, pulleys) to diagnosing and replacing the transfer case on my truck (they found me a great deal on a used transfer case that has been working great for almost 10 years!). I once had the pleasure of getting a ride back to the shop to pick up my car from the owner and he seems like a genuinely good person and seemed to really care about taking care of his employees and customers. This week, I called them because I was desperate to find someone to reseal a leaking window on my van. They talked through it with me, and since they aren't an autobody / glass shop they referred me to Big Rig Glass who did a fantastic job. They've referred me to other shops in the past for specialty work and it has always worked out great.
