He was at my house coming up with a plan within 20 minutes of the call. Gave me a quote and said he and his crew would be here first thing in the morning. They came at 6:30 am, got the equipment situated, and were DONE at 9:30 am. I could not believe the amount of equipment and people he had here. They were all incredibly professional, and polite. (Even took a quick break so my daughter could get on the school bus.) After the tree was gone the crew made sure everything was cleaned up and left my yard in better shape than before they arrived! We also have them on a maintenance plan where they come in the spring and fall. I can't say enough good things about them. They do great work, they are extremely friendly and professional, and are easy to communicate with. Some landscapers don't call you back or are difficult to reach, but not Morning Light. Even though they are based in Vestal, they have a very wide service area. They do work for us in Painted Post and Big Flats. I highly recommend!

"The customer is always wrong". Hillside insisted I pay a bill for about $280 from November 2022…read morethat they knew was incorrect because it included pruning that was not done. Owner Jim Hoteling in March 2023 told me that my failure to pay their bill raised "a red flag". He refused to send a revised bill and refused to restart service. Subsequently, I estimated the cost of the work that entailed blowing leaves that I myself missed as $150, sent Hillside a check for $150, and hired another landscaping company. Note that back in November I contacted Hillside that their bill was incorrect, but received no response. As I told Hillside, I am the sole caretaker of a terminally ill husband. Hillside's work was average but I wanted to keep them for the sake of continuity in my life of upheavals. I begged them to send a correct bill and restart service. I find their insulting and dishonest behavior to be sick.
