I had a tenant that complained about roaches, Dodson went out 3 times in a month to treat and couldn't fix the problem. The tenant told me if we couldn't fix the problem he was going to move. (understandable) I called A-active Pest Control that morning, they treated the property that afternoon and I haven't had a problem since. Here's the icing on the cake: I called Dodson to let them know that I would not be paying their bill because they didn't fix the problem and I was displeased with their service and they told me that if I didn't pay, they would send my account to collections. They did.. two and a half years later I get a subpoena for $150.00 from a collection attorney. I called the owner of Dodson Bros, and left a voice mail for him at his corporate office in Lynchburg, VA, never heard back.. I ended up paying 206.00 for the crappy service and court costs just to prevent the hassle of going to court and possibly getting a judgement against me. Stay away from these guys.. They're crooks.

We had an active termite infestation, they came out and analyzed it and then called Interstate Repair Services, they gave us an estimate of $1500.00 worth of damage. That did not even cover the insulation that had to be replaced. Look elsewhere for a reputable Pest company that honors its warranties. I had found the original warranty from 2000 and it states that with an active termite infestation they will pay the damages. I can attest they will not, you will be left doing the repair work and paying for it. I contemplated legal action, but at this point, it is not worth it, I have dealt with chain companies, and they are very good at hiding behind franchises. I will make it a point to let everyone know, this is how they treat customers.

What I got in return was a notice from a debt collection company, which of course hurt my credit rating, and the time and bother it took to call American Pest and find out that someone had entered the bill for the next to last visit twice, effectively cancelling my payment for it and triggering the debt collection letter. I've cancelled all future visits and am looking elsewhere now for more professional service
