When I saw an ad for the 2nd Annual All Hallows Flea, I knew it would be the perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit--and it did not disappoint!
We rolled in around 2pm and had no problem finding a parking spot. The lot was busy but not chaotic, and people were streaming in and out with bags of treasures, some in costume, some not. The mix of casual shoppers and decked-out spooky folks set the tone right away.
We were hungry, so we hit the food trucks first. Honestly, I was surprised there were only two trucks given the size of the crowd. The lines were long, and the wait wasn't ideal, but it's only the second year for this event, so hopefully they'll expand the food options next time.
Once inside, the layout was great--easy to navigate despite the PACKED crowd. And wow... talk about curiosities! From meteorite fragments to old-school vintage Halloween window clings (the exact kind my mom taped up when I was a kid) to a taxidermied mink dressed up for Trick-or-Treating (yes, really), this market had everything spooky, quirky, and in between. Vendors were friendly, the vibe was fun, and prices ranged from bargains to splurges depending on the booth. We easily spent an hour wandering, chatting, and admiring all the oddities. read more
