Our 2 boys got a room large enough to house them both for the 6 weeks, and they were allowed to bring their toys and scratching tower from home to help them settle in! Our cats are on a special diet for their teeth, so we supplied the food, and Jan was nice enough to reduce the rate a little as she didnt have to supply the food. Jan is a real cat lover, and lives on the premises, so the cats can be checked on day or night if needed. The best part was that Jan would send us weekly email updates with how the cats were going, and photos!!!

I recently saw Alice who I am so grateful to because she diagnosed the funny lump on my dog as being cancerous and was able to book her in for surgery the next day to remove it. Bella is now cancer free and happy her stitches are out! I was a bit emotional about it all and Alice and the nurses were so sweet and helpful especially in their after care advice. I don't often post reviews but I feel like I hit the jackpot when it comes to the care of my lab, my cat, and Craig has even seen my bearded dragon Albert when he was looking flat. After much research and a recommendation from our vet's website, we decided to go with Sophisticat. We called them to arrange an inspection and they were happy to show us around their clean, large and well cared for facilities. This really put us at ease as we were going overseas for the holidays. We've since gone back to them one other time and have never had a complaint. They require your feline to be up to date on vaccinations and have a go-to vet should anything happen. They have most foods on offer, but if yours require something exotically special, they do ask to bring a supply in which is fair enough. We even called once to make sure Bella was settled in ok and they were happy to give us a progress report (sad, I know) and she didn't show any signs of stress when we retrieved her. I would go back to them without any hesitation and recommend them to anyone needing a cattery.

They have like gated sections for you to sit in and let your four legged friend off the lead while they wait in anticipation for the goods. Unacceptable! It was…read moremy dog's first groom / hair cut. I had mentioned that he didn't like the hair dryer. After he was washed and they started trying to dry him, he started barking. The solution was to yell at him. Following this, he understandably continued to bark and so his face was held firmly so he could be directly yelled out. Then a hand was put into his mouth to try further to stop him barking. Interesting psychology to calm a scared puppy!!! Understandably we left without having his hair cut.
