They told me I did not need to checkout because they would not bill me. They sent me home. They ended up billing me and my insurance anyway. Doctors were in hallway partying as I left the office area after the appointment. I guess that was more important than helping me! I filed a complaint with insurance company about service refusal by OSS and false charges!

No…read morematter how bad my pain became or how much my mobility became affected, all I was offered was pain management by injections and epidurals. When I found myself able to pay for an outpatient lumbar back surgery that was offered to me but insurance would not cover, I persisted for several months in an effort to get a straight answer on how much I would be billed for the surgery so that we could move forward. I was consistently given the run around and passed on to other staff in this effort, but never once given the answer. During this time, my back pain and problems continued to worsen to the point that I could barely function, with no concern from OSS doctors. Within a month of leaving OSS for a neurosurgeon, I have had back surgery and my pain is gone. I was also seeing doctors here for my knees. I was told repeatedly that my knees "weren't that bad", I was too young for surgery, and that I was too fat for surgery. The incredibly awful condition of my right patella was essentially ignored by doctors while they told me that it wasn't that bad because I still had a small bit of space between my tibia and my femur. Meanwhile, my patella was covered in bone spurs so severe that my new surgeon had to pry it off during my knee replacement surgery, and he found it to be so built up w arthritis that it was twice it's normal size. He told me it was one of the worst knees he's ever seen, and that we will be replacing the left knee as soon as possible to avoid it reaching the same degree of deterioration. Again, within a month of finding my new doctor, I had a full knee replacement on my right knee. By the time this happened, I was rapidly losing my ability to walk, and my knee was locking into a bent position regularly. Oddly enough, neither of my new doctors had serious concerns with my age nor my weight. When I hear a friend tell me that they are going to OSS for care it literally makes me feel sick to my stomach. Per my experience, OSS is nothing but a pain mill that allows patients to live w ever increasing pain and decreasing mobility to collect payments for injections that are recommended every 6 months. Imagine that payday on 4 areas of one patient's body. The best thing I ever did was leaving OSS for doctors that actually care about the fact that their patients have had their lives stop w a screeching halt and simply want to get it back.

Unfortunately this review fell short of a 5 star review because one of the massage therapist, Alicia was running late by 10 mins and cut my massage short because she was running late... keep in mind I always arrive promptly to my appointment either 15 to 10 mins early. I found this unprofessional and devalued my time. She gave the person before me an hour and cut mine short by 10 mins so she wouldn't be over for the next person after me. My husband told me she doesn't do deep tissue even if you ask her, he said he was a little disappointed with it. She also made a reference to a woman weight who she just finished massaging prior to me. She made some comments to me regarding it and said that it was a relief to massage me cause I'm smaller. I found this offensive, referring to the weight of her last paitent. It was heartbreaking to hear this cause I literally just listened to the massage patient struggle with weight in the waiting room. This isn't fair or ethically right. It rubbed me the wrong way and myself and my husband will not be having our massage done by her ever again.

I had previously tried all kinds of different migraine therapy with no luck so this was a WONDERFUL surprise!!! I continue to see Dr. Carozzi and my migraines are almost nonexistent. I was using all of my monthly prescribed medication, now, I haven't had to get a refill for a few months. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Carozzi!!!

I visited his office to find out where my back pain was coming from and if he could give me some relief. To start, I was unable to stand up from sitting without experience grievous pain in my lower back. The doc ran a few tests to find out exactly where the pain originated. He found the nerves #4 and #5 in my lower back were causing the concern. He issued me some medicine; then a week later did a lower back injection... This relieved the pain for about a month. When I returned, he continued the treatment; which then lasted over a month and is still going strong today. The pain has been relieved to the point that I can go bowling with my wife and not suffer any agony. I thank Dr. Ali Yousufuddin and his staff for helping me through this trying time.

We were apprehensive due to the reviews, but hopeful, because the drive was shorter. Now, we wish we never set foot there. They made an already devastating experience even worse. They changed medications without telling us, which affected preexisting conditions and personality. They were not equipped with specialists needed. Their nursing is subpar. They are lazy and inattentive. Their communication with patients, families, and each other is horrendous. We had a family member there at all times, except overnight, because we could not trust them to do their jobs. We learned that the night shift staff was the laziest. We advocated and attended to our loved one when alarms went off and we had to hunt people down, or if the nurses didn't assist with toileting and loved one messed. We noticed symptoms and requested care and testing. We were so excited for our loved one to transfer to the next facility- a light at the end of the tunnel, though we felt pushed out of UPMC Memorial too quickly. When we arrived at the new facility, we learned that UPMC did NOT efficiently prepare them for us. They had no idea what our patient needed. We had to start over. The new facility immediately began correcting wrong medications and fixing UPMC Memorial's mistakes. We are praying their care will ease the mental anguish and unnecessary distress caused to our loved one, over time. If we didn't have a person with our loved one at all times, who knows how this would have turned out. UPMC Memorial dropped ALL the balls when it comes to providing care, comfort, communication, consistency, attention, and healing. There are a handful of good eggs for whom we're grateful. A tech here or there, a nurse or two, a PT, an SLP. But they alone unfortunately cannot make up for the utter recklessness and laziness we experienced in our few weeks there. Please, go elsewhere.

He showed no empathy or even seemed like he cared about my pain. He wants me to try a peripheral nerve stimulator and didn't even tell me for sure if it was waterproof as I informed that my husband and I are going to Florida the end of December. He then said I have to find a pain management doctor in Florida or may have to fly back for them to check the stimulator which is only a trial run for 60 days. Then just shrugged his shoulders and told me then you will just have to fly back here. What a joke!! He had no good bedside manner!!! I am very disappointed in him. His assistant was a sweetheart and she spoke to me more than he did. He said he couldn't prescribe me anything for pain as I wait to see if my insurance will even cover the nerve stimulator. What is wrong these doctors today. They act as if they are God. He didn't treat my pain issue at all for the time being and I even informed him I am on my last day of pain medicine which was prescribed by my PCP for one week until I saw this very rude doctor!! I didn't even get all my questions answered. He walked away and never said anything else to encourage me. I bet if he or anyone in his family were in pain he would most likely not let them suffer in pain. His assistant who is a doc ... Dr. K ..... very professional and actually listened to me and then another staff called her out of my room as I was talking to her. She apologized that she had to leave and was so kind. I would rather her be treating me. She explained more than the Dr. V. I could write a book on this experience and not good. He could not even tell me who would perform the procedure And didn't explain it very well at all. I am a nurse and have been for 43 years And also work part time for Penn state. Our healthcare system is a wreck. All the caring doctors are retiring and I'm about to retire the end of November. My husband went to him years ago and never went back due to his arrogant personality And poor communication. I wanted to give him a chance and was referred to Penn state pain management but I have lost respect for Dr. V. Patients have the right to be treated for pain!!! Not everyone is seeking pain meds .... It doesn't make you an addict just because of chronic nerve pain with post traumatic left ankle arthritis due to an injury and a podiatrist . Dr. C who performed surgery on me in 2017 and cut and removed a nerve in my ankle that he said needed to be removed. i ended up with a neuroma on the lower lateral side of my left leg.... Never was I informed this could happen. I have been in pain ever since then. i also asked Dr.V in order to confirm it's a neuroma that should i have an MRI ? He said I have to go to another doctor to order that test..... he never even told me who to contact for an MRi. Then back to the peripheral nerve stimulator. I wanted to know why not do a radio frequency nerve ablation and the secretary told me he said he thought it may not work on my condition.... Yes the secretary had to go back and ask him because he left the room too fast so I told her I needed to know and she went back and asked him herself for me. So I can bet you I will get a bill from him and I am the patient who deserves to get answers while I am at the doctors appointment. I did not get proper treatment or answers to some pertinent questions..... anyway as I said he was not nice to me at all. I could never treat a patient as he treated me.... He acted like he was in such a big hurry to go nowhere. It's a shame that patients are getting treated so poorly.... At least I was.... as I said his assistant Dr. K was very nice to me , although Dr. V needs some lessons on bedside manner and kindness along with empathy and respect to his patients.
