Background: Needed to have 3 outdoor outlets installed but the wires had no power so I did a look up for electricians in Fleming Island and found QUICK ELECTRIC SERVICE. I prefer to use small, local businesses as much as possible and this family owned and operated company, just down the street from my house was perfect. Razvan and his son Nicholas were right on time, polite and knowledgeable. Called on Friday to set an appt. and they had availability at 1030 on Monday. After some small discussion on what I was intending to use the plugs for e.g. one will be plugged in full time for my Goldfish pond waterfall. They made a recommendation and traced the old wires getting nice outdoor weather proof outlets on their own 15 and 20 Amp circuits installed within an hour or so after a quick trip to Home Depot to make sure what they installed matched everything else. Small example of how I could see how much price they take in their work to go and get matching stuff rather than throw in whatever they had in the van. Once that was finished I asked if they could take a look at my daughter's room because one switched controlled the power to ALL of her wall outlets and the fan. Razvan identified multiple issues and troubleshot everything while Nicholas explained what he was doing and how this or that worked. I needed almost a complete rewire ASAP to remove all the old cloth wiring and replace it with code compliant copper wire at almost every outlet and light switch in my house. I got three different quotes from 3 local electricians. The first company, although less than G&G's estimate, didn't even bother to come look at the project, and gave me a "rough guess" over the phone that was "subject to change" and would only be a "starting point". Red flag right off the bat. The second company's estimate was almost double what G&G's estimate was. I decided to go wth G&G. I was given their name and contact info from a realtor who hired them to rewire a house we are buying in Ortega (same deal - remove cloth wire). G&G got on my immediately, showed up on time, every time, and even came to the house to be there when the City of Jax inspector came to make sure any questions he had could be answered on the spot and not delay permitting. They did a pretty good job of keeping my house clean, didn't have to remove any baseboards or rip through the wall, but instead went through the attic or crawl space under the house, and everything works perfect and is brand new. The owner Josh Graves and his crew (Jack and Alan were the two guys who worked on my house) were responsive and took time to explain everything. When the job was done, I even got a credit for one out of outlets that was already rewired. They could have easily just kept the money and I would have never known. If you need an honest, reliable electrician, call G&G today. UPDATE 3/30/17: I have now used G&G on two other occasions. Once to install and wire from scratch 3 ceiling fans and 2 bathroom exhaust fans, and the second to run come cable and cat 5 lines for internet and cable. Stellar both times. These guys rock.
