The Timber Tailors felled an unstable tree, a consequence of Hurricane Sandy, on 7/23/2013. This…read moretree had partially pulled its roots from the ground, was swaying and shifting in even slight winds. The Timber Tailors met their commitment on date and time, were punctual, efficient and highly professional. This was not a simple task. 100' unstable ash tree held upright by the entanglement of its topmost branches with adjoining trees and within 30' of our house. Not only did The Timber Tailors efficiently remove the tree, working quickly but very safely, but did so without any damage to the shrubs and flower beds beneath. Every section of the tree was lowered by rope in a controlled manner and so the lawn experienced no damage whatsoever. The trunk was cut into lengths suitable for firewood splitting and neatly stacked. All branches and foliage were shredded and removed from the site. The cleanup was thorough and extensive, leaving practically no sign of their work. I highly recommend their services.

He even helped us apply for the permit, which made the whole process so much easier. We originally thought we only needed two dead trees removed. When he came out to give us a quote, he pointed out a few other trees that looked fine from the outside but actually had cavities inside. We weren't sure at first, but we trusted his expertise -- and thank goodness we did. Once he cut them, we saw insects and worms crawling inside and realized those trees were hollow and would have eventually fallen, potentially damaging our home. He truly knows his craft. His pricing was very fair, especially compared to the other three quotes we received. Not only was he the most reasonably priced, but his knowledge and thoroughness were unmatched. He also made sure his entire crew wore proper safety gear and cleaned up beautifully after the job was done. Highly recommend -- he is the best at what he does!
