"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of…read moreoverwhelming obstacles." -Christopher Reeve Serving others for nearly 30 years! Living Independence Network Company A.K.A. LINC is a local service agency that cares for people with disabilities, all levels, focusing on ability within their disability and helping them to be as independent as possible. My mother-in-law gets services through this agency and I help her with many of them. Linc is very helpful for families by learning available resources and support. This is the first review of the Caldwell, Idaho office. This is my 436th review. There are many different services that Linc provides and in three cities: Boise, Calwell, and Twin Falls. Some of the services they provide are: Advocacy: Call them if you're experiencing a problem in relation to how you live with your disability. Whether it's a landlord, employer, local business, and the such, Linc will help you by speaking on behalf of you, writing a letter for you, or acting for you. This is a very important part of social work and for people living with disabilities. Independence Living Services: The will help locate housing for you, train you to live independently: budgeting, renting an apartment, working with Health and Welfare and much more! Personal Care Services: They will help you hire, train, and pay employees to help you through the Medicaid program. Help can be cooking, cleaning, hygiene and other quality of life tasks. Transportation: They hell you apply for assistance with transportation such as medical taxi (Medicaid/Medicare pays), and discounted transportation such as taxi and bus passes. Medical equipment loans: That's right... if you need a wheelchair, power chair, crutches, CPAP machine, you can call Linc and they will help you with that. You can borrow these items for as long as you need. They also take donations of these items and many more if you ever hear about them or have some to discard. Lastly, The ramp and rail loan program. According to their website This program provides: Temporary loans of modular, portable, aluminum accessibility ramps for residences averaging 30-90 days. Only requires a fully-refundable deposit of $250 or $450, depending on size and configuration Ensures people with accessibility or mobility issues to maintain their independence and freedom. Even if you're having a family member come to visit that requires a ramp, you can borrow a rail free of charge, just put down the security deposit. Linc has been in the Treasure Valley for nearly 30 years. They have a vast amount of resources available and a database of other resources for yourself and your family. It's important to know what services are available out in the community. You never know who is going to need this knowledge. This review is going into a new "Community Resource" Yelp list which may help our community grow and overall help individuals help themselves move up Maslow's hierarchy toward self-actualization. As for my review-- I am going to post this same review on all three cities because it brings awareness and again, may help someone. The staff has always been friendly. I've dealt with the community nurse several times, they come to the participants home, and are always filled with both compassion and empathy. My brother in law is unable to walk long distances and his mobility scooter took a dump. He was unable to get a new mobility scooter due to lack of funding-- Linc provided him with a "loaner" which he can use for as long as he needs, and he once again has the independence and quality of life that we all deserve, thanks to Linc. Please review these programs in greater detail, or learn how to help at lincidaho.org.

He was terrified but the staff was super cool about it and we managed to get it done. Thanks to the black haired dude who completely kept his cool, even though my kid was not being cool at all, and calmed and distracted him in the perfect way to get his shot in quick. Nobody made me feel like a bad parent, even though my kid was straight up trying to kick me at one point. He was terrified but all the employees were very professional and did a great job!! Thank you again!

Anywho...this place is the real deal hearkening back to days when independent drug stores were the only place you could get your script filled, some odds/ends and maybe even an ice cream or soda fountain drink. Not sure if this place had the soda fountain going for it or the Jerk running it but I do know it had a plethora of gifts and Hallmark keepsakes. Sadly this is the last standing Hallmark store in town and we had to track them down for a specific figurine my grandma was tirelessly searching for. Luckily for us we were already going to be in Twin Falls for a much needed visit with family so the 2 hour drive was well justified. The clerks in this place were top notch, they saved the two figurines she needed in the back and gladly brought them out when grams came a-callin'. Very impressed with how nice they are and they treated my grams how I usually treat her, always a plus with me! They didn't have any fridge magnets but I later found what I was looking for when we finally got to Shoshone Falls. I highly recommend this place for the odds and ends you're looking for in gift form.

For example, Thanksgiving week we received tableclothes that had been washed and never pressed, so were completely unusable. The driver, Jerry, explained that they've been busy and rushed orders that week.... as if that matters to a small business paying $300 a week for product. The next issue was that they repeatedly delivery napkins and tablecloths that are in their original package from China. They're still and unusable, with puffy seams. I understand from another linen company that the fabric from the manufacturer is they're treated with formaldehyde, which is why it's critical to launder them first. I wish I could post photos! The worst part is that they refused to replace the unacceptable linens 1:1! Ridiculous! Glad I only signed a one-year deal. Wish I could finish the contract so as to not fight the early termination penalty, but I can't deal with them anymore! Read the "No Warranty" paragraph in the contract. They take no responsibility for quality. How are we supposed to use linens with burn holes? BTW: The clause with the 12mth contract is hand-written, without initials. I think it's time to consult an attorney. Buyer Beware! Michele Bacquet, Owner Bacquet's Restaurant Eagle, ID
