I just had service here about an hour ago. When I was finished and made it back out to my car, there was a place to leave feedback about the day's service. I left a very comprehensive message and submitted it. I then came to YELP to see if my feedback was here. It was not. Moral to the story. Leave feedback on google reviews, yelp, etc. FIRST. Then reply to their requested feedback. I'm not sure if it'll make it to anyone's sight, but if you go..::a safe bet is to ask for Mackenzie - or hope you are scheduled with her if you're a walk-in. This is a great men's barber shop, to me, with excellent barbers, stylists and staff and a pretty cool decor and vibe in the shop. Also, I believe there is a bar in the rear of the shop that serves beer, I think that's pretty cool too. I've had my haircut by Nikki twice and both time she did an amazing job... super skilled with both clippers and scissors! I definitely recommend this establishment and kudos to Nikki! read more

I got there early for my appointment. Upon entering I could see they were busy. The waiting area is happily situated with comfy chairs and sofas. There's screens with games, video, and other things to occupy your time. It's kid friendly too, even though you are offered an adult beverage should you want one. You get the whole modern hipster barbershop vibe. But there is also a bit of a 'hair cuttery' vibe, with the juxtaposed chairs and multitude of hair cutters. I had never been to a barbershop staffed with female barbers before, nothing wrong with it just a first for me. And I can tell you for a fact that the haircut I got there is miles above the haircuts I've gotten at the other, ahem, establishments. I was seated early and described the cut I was looking for. The barber gave me good advice and a great haircut. The experience was pleasant, conversation was affable. The process was efficient and smooth. Everything moved quickly yet I didn't feel rushed. Second time I went here, but not again. First time hair wasn't cut short enough and layered weird- had to use a lot of product to make it look presentable. Told the guy go a little shorter, nah, maybe a little more. He didn't seem to get it. This time today she took the fade way way too high, and even apologized for it. Then I wanted a beard trim, and she trimmed a few stragglers. Took the comb and clippers to my under- jaw. A short buzz here then a short buzz there- and done. Didn't even argue or push too hard. Just said yea that's good, I'll fix it myself. I'd rather be bald than have my beard messed up. Dude, I gave this place a fair chance and both times let down. 10min hair cut and 30sec beard trim- $43 bucks. Wait-wait? Mediocre at best. If I wanted to look mediocre I could've done it myself- I should have. Then bought $43 bucks worth of beer. read more

I've been here twice on a walk-in. I was seated quickly (non peak times). Both times the "stylist" were unable to razor shave my neck. Someone else nearby was glad to help tho. The prices on Yelp are WRONG! It was $40 for a cut and neck shave. $30 for cut and $10 for razor neck shave. I've never been charged extra for a razor neck shave at any barber shop. I'd be ok with a few bucks for the razor neck shave, but not $10, plus 20% tip on top of that. Prices are too high for me to return a third. Plus, the "stylists" were young and inexperienced. I Wasn't happy with either cut. So my basic cut with tip was $50. I feel ripped off. Took 10 mins to cut my hair. No frills for it either. Hot towel, etc. I referred to them as "stylists" because neither of them had a barber license at a barber shop. So weird. Which was evident in my cut. . Had to come back and edit. 3 stars is too much for a poor, $40 haircut. Hate leaving bad reviews but what a ripoff. read more

DO NOT USE THE APP TO JOIN WAITLIST I have been coming to All About Men for several years now (even when they were in their much smaller place). There is plenty of barbers and never had a problem with getting a quality cut. Lots of new faces as barbers but there are a couple that have been around for years. I appreciate their military and first responder discount as it is something rare to see now a day. The reason for not getting a "5" is their appointment/wait system. They use Q Less. Every time I have added myself to the waitlist before leaving my house, it has not saved me anytime (actually takes longer)! The app says I am next in line, I come in and speak to the hostess and she said it will be a couple minutes. I literally wait until everyone that was there before me gets their service. Next in line turned into 10+. It saves you ZERO time and very misleading. The hostess were saying the wait was 35 minutes to customer that came in after me and I waited 35 minutes even though I put my name in the Q Less app 20 minutes before my arrival. Will update review if their waitlist system approves but for now not using the online system. If I check in and it is a long wait, either come back another day or stop by another places. Checked into app at 1337 (9 minute with 1 person in front), Seated at 1425. 47 minute wait. read more

I went here today for the first time; I hadn't had a haircut in months due to the pandemic and decided to try them out. I told the woman to trim the sides and leave the top of my hair long since my hair is curly and longer looks good on me. She proceeded to cut it ALL OFF, and told me I'd look ridiculous the way I wanted it. I'm pretty pissed about this, I've never had a barber not cut my hair the way I f'n want it. Great cuts here. One of the better and more consistent places I've tried in the area. They are now my usual go to spot for haircuts.

If you are not going to pay in cash don't come here, took time out of my day and try this place, 45 minute drive and all they take is cash, maybe proper advertising for this fact would be a good idea, 2 hours gone and gas gone. I called ahead to inquire about price and let them know I was coming. Apparently that is not the same as making an appointment. When I walked in there were 3 employees, including the cashier, talking among themselves with their backs to the front door (and me). No one turned around to greet me until finally a barber came over to see what why I was there. After a lot of confusion I was told to go to the last chair on the right. Apparently, even with the large number of employees, no one is assigned the responsibility of sweeping the large volume of cut hair off of the aisle floor. On the upside, Liz gave me a really good standard man's haircut with nice attention to detail so the 4 stars is really for her. I saw a lot of really specialized haircuts being nicely done, with apparently different prices and patrons seemed satisfied. read more

So I came in today for a cut with Mikey but realized my appointment was a week later. I needed a cut badly so I just accepted the next available barber, Katie (I believe). Well, Katie proceeded to move incredibly quickly through my hair with no attention to detail or thought whatsoever. The end result was not only one of the worst haircuts I've ever gotten, it doesn't even look entirely even or finished. I have to go to another barber tomorrow to fix it. read more

We took our 2 year old son here after he got a botched haircut at another shop. Our kid was kicking and screaming (the sound from the pressurized air blowers scared him). Joe was so calm with him and miraculously got the cut done quickly. I am so happy with the style! We will definitely be coming back to Joe next time! I will start of by saying when I first walked in the decor of this shop is off the charts!! My husband was in love with the signs on the walls and was even laughing at most of them. Came here for the first time to get my boys cut for the first time and not only did the barbers do an incredible job and made my kids look normal again the young lady up front I believe her name was melanie was super greeting and made us feel like we were at home offering lollipops and tattoos for my kids and even for my husband and I, free beer and wine. I absolutely love this shop. This is a place where I can come and not have to worry about how I'm going to of ok when I leave. While walk ins are accepted, appointments are the way to go! I'm here at least twice a month (by appointment)and Joe takes good care of me. The entire shop is down to earth and works well together. They have recently expanded and is now located right next to Giant. If you are looking for an awesome place with awesome people to get a haircut, then you have to try All About Men! Haircuts are reasonably priced and discounts are available for Military and 1st Responders. I drive from Brunswick to get my haircut here, but it is definitely worth it. I've been here 3 times over the last couple of months and one things for sure...they are very consistent with giving me the haircut I want, very kind/personable/respectful, and efficient. I'm very VERY picky when it comes to haircuts and very rarely do I find a barber shop that cuts exactly how I like it. I did need something corrected once and they were very urgent in rectifying it for me. My son who is 3 got his haircut here recently as well and it was the first time I saw him so content and comfortable at a barber shop. They can't fade curly hair!! I asked if they can do fades and they assure me they had no problem doing fades. When I show up with my son who is puertorican and black, I asked them again if they can worK wIth him. They assured me again that they can fade his hair type with no problem. After shuffling him to a second barber who can can cut "ethnic hair" (the first barbers words) he still screwed it up. Instead of a nice low fade, my son got a bowl cut. This place is trash and borderline racist. I don't recommend this place unless you have bone straight hair and willing to overlook the line infested fades. What a waste of money!! read more

I got a haircut there yesterday. I have skin cancer and had grown my hair out to collar length to cover my ears and neck from the sun. I asked for a little off by my ears and a trim. Next thing I know he's cutting 3 inches off the back. Didn't want me to have a mullet, he said. He cut off six months of growth without asking me. Certainly a talented barber could have come up with a long hair style that wasn't a mullet. The barber forced his idea of how I should look without consulting with the customer. Guys, this place is our version of the hair salon, except 1000 times better. Pretty much every guy I know goes here and lets just walk through the reasons quickly. 1) It is never a problem if you don't have an appointment. The staff is fast and they get right to the next person. 2) No up selling of products. They aren't going to push a 40 dollar bottle of gel on you. If you need it they have it, but there is no pressure to buy more than you need. 3) The staff is very nice and do a good job. 4) The price is very affordable and will run you about 15 dollars 5) The atmosphere is the best. Like the name says this is all about men. They have about 10 flat screens running sports and various other shows. The chairs are comfortable and the inside is set up to look like a garage. Also did I mention they will serve you beer while you wait or while you are getting your hair done? And yes, a cold PBR makes everything better. So stop going to super cuts and start coming here.
