Majestic Hills Ranch now serves children and young adults with special needs and Veterans in rehabilitation with our "Heroes on Horseback" program." My son Christopher has a variety of special needs - Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Severe Developmental Delay. Christopher has been coming to Majestic Hills for therapeutic horseback riding for 2 years now. It is amazing the response he has with the horses! The riding helps him with his balance, self control and appropriate behavior as well as developing and enhancing skills at following directions. The sensory stimulus is fantastic with the sights, sounds, movements and yes, even smells (these are horses after all) and they really get Christopher focused. The staff is plentiful, friendly, professional, gentle yet firm and are always attentive to the safety and the needs of the kids. They provide everything that your special needs child will need for the rides - even a helmet. After the riding activities, the children learn some responsibilities such as putting their helmets away in the appropriate place, getting a treat pan (bowl) for the horse that they have ridden and feeding the horse that they have ridden treats. I would HIGHLY recommend Majestic Hills Ranch to anyone with a special needs child.

The museum displays restored Red Wing Thorobred marine engines, outboard motors and a display of fishing tackle, photographs, documents and other river-related items. This Museum sits very near the site of the original factory where Red Wing-made boats and motors were made and launched. More than 30 fully restored Thorobred's are on permanent display along with photos and other items.
