The head chef came out to talk to us in amateur sign language and Spanish, we would respond in English and smiles. This is where I'm at a loss for words for the food that was served that night. It was basically a very very flat piece of jamón, layered with (mozzarella ?) cheese and more jamón and more cheese and all of this is battered and fried on both sides. I know it may sound good but it was nothing like that. I could barely finish a third of one piece. For the remainder of dinner, we just played how-to-hide-the-meat. Would not return to here ever! Tierra Astur is a blend of store with lots of gastronomy products (perfect for gifts and excellent packaging), a restaurant to eat a LOT (better share those huge dishes) and a bar where to have a drink standing still whole the waiters pass croquetas and tortilla de patatas at no cost. The space is gorgeous, lovely decor, huge yet cozy. Outside they have a map with the most famous products and areas of origin, so it is a pretty didactic experience too.

We looked around at other spots and they are for tourists and we found sketchy service/unfriendly service or were denied seating. Coffee is really good here too!
