This review is long overdue. I was looking to rent my condo…read morealmost two years ago at this point. Yelp has always done right by me so I trusted the recommendations. I spoke with a few other property managers and everyone was wanting to rent my condo for a lot less. Brian agreed to rent it at a price we were comfortable with. Brian was very good at communicating and was patient with all of our questions. My husband met with him initially and then we met with him again after I reviewed the contract at home. Everything looked good. We updated a few things in the condo in preparation to rent it and he gave us a few other good suggestions as well. Brian was a property manager I felt knew what he was doing and we got the sense he would take care of everything for us. The monthly amount for his services is great and we have peace of mind with Brian's services. We have a landlord portal to sign into, we get our yearly tax form and an email each month right before we receive our deposit. It's also nice that if the tenant puts in a maintenance request, we receive an email as a courtesy, but Brian takes care of everything! We are absolutely pleased with Brian as our property manager and when we decide to purchase another investment property we will absolutely ask Brian to help us out with that as well. We cannot recommend Brian enough!

However, when it was time for us to buy another home, he completely failed us. Though we asked for a termite inspection, pretty standard for any sale, he said the house inspection didn't indicate we needed one. Needless to say, we found termites shortly after moving in and now we need to tent. During the sale, we put an offer on a home in Magnolia Center. When the inspection came back on the roof, we told him to tell the seller they needed to put a roof on or we would pull out. He said the inspector said the roof would last and maybe we should consider having the seller buy a three year guarantee on the roof. Because the seller countered with an "as is" offer, he was certain the seller would pull out. Not knowing much about this, we agreed to it. Not a day later the roof estimate came back at 25,000 and 6 months after closing, our insurance company came back and said they would not insure the house next year unless we had a roof on by April. So we have a roof guarantee (suggested by Shaun) that means nothing. To add to that complication, Shaun knew we were buying the house to remodel and add a bathroom. This roof thing has made our addition impossible at this point and we were in the middle of a kitchen remodel when this happened. We moved here from Florida and really didn't know much about the housing market in CA. If you are not well-versed in the laws of CA, we would have thought a termite inspection was mandatory, and we had no idea your insurance company does not have to take a roof guarantee, then buyer beware. The sale was clearly more important to Shaun than our long term finances.

Long story short, she wasted both her clients and our time by not doing her job right the first time and simply making sure her clients are well aware and happy with decisions they are going to make before signing any LEGAL DOCUMENTS! We were very unfortunate to work with her and went through a lot of emotional stress. She gets upset over very little situations and is unprofessional. Please be wise and do your research on people before you hire them your time is precious.
