+ Practices Chinese herbal medicine (alternative medicine)…read more + (Obviously) not covered by NHS + Each doctor has different area of expertise. So best to consult first I went to Institute of Chinese Medicine (ICM there after) for a few months when I had a non-serious skin issues a few years back. My GP was not quite useful and all that Western medicine has to offer seems to be to prescribe antibiotics to stop the symptom in short run. Usually I'm very sceptical about alternative medicines and all that stuff. But I was frustrated about the experience with my GP so I decided to try this place. I had to nothing to lose, after all. My doctor at the ICM prescribed me a few herbal medicines along with some dietary advices. Some of them are actual raw herbs (bits of leaves, twigs and who knows what) that I had to boil in a pan and then drink the browned water. The smell was absolutely awful but after trying that for a few weeks, my symptom got much better. Obviously, it would depend on symptoms/ areas a lot but it seemed to work for me. My doctor specialises in skin among other areas. Each doctor has different areas of expertise. So it's best to consult over the phone or at the counter about your concern first.
