New to town and looking to establish ourselves in the community, I called the office to make an…read moreappointment to go into the office and move 11 insurance policies to a Deland insurance agency. I spoke to a gentleman and set up an appointment for the following week on my day off from work. I left my cell phone number for contact. The morning of the appointment, I arrived at the office 10 mins early, because I had left the house early due to rain. After a few minutes I went into the office and found a disheveled, untidy workspace right out of the 60s, but not in a good way. I told the only gentleman there that I had an appointment with Mr. XX at 9xx. He said he wasn't in yet, could I wait a few minutes? After 15 minutes, at my request, he called the man I had the appointment with and told me he was "running late" this morning and asked if I could keep waiting. I sat there a few more minutes and the man left the area and didn't come back, perhaps embarrassed at the turn of events. I left, and took my business elsewhere. Not a good experience for someone new to the community. What could they have done better? How about calling the person who has an appointment and offering to reschedule with them, or at least let them know you're sorry, you forgot the appointment. His time was no more valuable than mine and I wasted my time off from work. Very unprofessional behavior from someone whose last name is the same as the name on the building!

Anyone living in Florida understands buying insurance for anything in Florida is challenging,…read morewhether it's auto, homeowner, gap policies, etc. I'm not one who makes quick decisions when dealing with my insurance needs and I always do my own due diligence prior to making a decision to change providers. When I tried bundling all my insurance needs and found my former insurance carrier would not offer homeowner's insurance in Florida which would enable me to bundle my auto insurance with my homeowners insurance to get the best coverage and rates available I knew it was time to shop them even though I had been with this insurance provider for over 25 years. I've been knowing Buddy for more than a decade and although he never solicited to get my business he has always answered any questions I've had and offered his team to help educate me and provide any information I was interested in. Once I was ready to look at different options I contacted Laura Bruno at Buddy's office and started the process, and although it would take some time for me to look at all my insurance needs Laura continued to support me by answering all my questions and provided me with comparison quotes after reviewing my existing coverages. After a few months I was ready to change providers and even though there was a gap between our last conversation she immediately picked up where we left off and walked me through the process to ensure all my insurance needs were met and actually increase my coverage while providing me with some substantial savings. I am extremely grateful for the support the team at Buddy Davenport State Farm Agency provided during what can be a somewhat stressful process. Their patience, exceptional communication and follow-up far exceeded my expectations. I am confident I made the right decision to switch Insurance providers, Laura made sure that I completely understood all my policies and coverages before I made my final decision and assisted me through the transition to cancel my policies from my other providers to ensure I had no gaps in coverage. If you have some concerns with your current coverages and insurance provider you should definitely review your insurance needs and look to this team to help you. Buddy Davenport State Farm Agency definitely provided a five star experience...
