It's a family owned business, with the owner and his kid hanging out on Sundays to sell their candles. Worried about your house burning down? They have little wax cartridges that you can load into a hopper that melts them and makes it smell good. When I got to meet Funderkandles, they were hanging out at the Alamo Heights Farmers Market, but they go to other markets on other days, and can be bought online.

So when my Pfaff stopped working I took it to the store in town. They did a wonderful job of fixing my machine. When it happened again (different problem). I took it to the Universal City store. They did an equally great job and such wonderful service. I am again today taking my machine in for service. Another seperate issue. My machine is older and has many many hours of sewing on it as I have a small sewing business and I make four or five quilts a year. It's a drive for us almost 4 hours each way. But I wouldn't let anyone else touch my machine.

I'm sure this is one of those small businesses where the owners constantly complain about COVID hurting their business and were probably the first in line for government assistance when it was offered. You know...one of those businesses that are open at their convenience and never put customers first. Admittedly, I've never even walked into the door of this place. But after calling several times and always getting an answering machine...I won't even bother.
