Hostels run the gamut of being really good or really bad. I'd like to think that this Stayokay Egmond is a bit of the latter. A nice, clean hostel that provides you with all the basics while you're away from home. We had a training course here for week and I understand why year after year my organization chooses this place. It is the ideal place for 30+ people to learn during the day and to mingle at night after training. They have a beautiful lobby with lots of couches and communal benches that encourages socializing. The place has many windows and during the day, the sunlight comes in and gives the place plenty of light without the need for electricity. The conference room is big enough to house 30-40 people so a great place if you need a place for large groups. I stayed in a room with 3 other girls and we had a shower, a sink and bathroom. Pretty bare bones, but they provide you with linen, sheets and blankets. The hostel also has a small bar which has great draft beer and well, Holland has some of the best beers in the world. You can also order some snacks too. They also have a party room, so great if you need it for entertainment at night. They can also provide a sound system for you and even a strobe light! They also have a fully-equipped kitchen, so if you ask nicely, your group can whip of snacks and such, but just don't bake any space cakes! They also do your laundry for you here, and you can rent a bike to explore the area (which is close to the beach) and can buy postcards! I really had a wonderful stay here and it is only about an hour away from Amsterdam, so a great place to retreat to when the city is getting to you or when you need a quiet, tranquil place to run a training course!

Ever since lonely planet declared texel as a place to visit, this place has been fully booked. It is one of the cheapest place to stay on the island if you dont want to camp.
