They came quickly, did a thorough inspection, and determined it was a major safety issue -- our power had to be shut off immediately. That left me, my wife, and our 4-year-old without power or heat right after a snowstorm and during freezing temperatures. We had to leave our home and stay in a hotel on very short notice. We called Fattizzi Electrical (Paul Fattizzi), and he was outstanding. He responded quickly, understood the urgency, and got to work right away. Within two days, he had everything repaired and ready for inspection. He worked with Con Ed to come back out promptly, they cleared everything, and restored power so we could safely return home. It was a stressful situation, but Paul's responsiveness, professionalism, and ability to move quickly made a huge difference. I would absolutely recommend Fattizzi Electrical to anyone dealing with an urgent or serious electrical issue.

I called on Friday of Labor Day weekend because I had some concerns. Ashley answered the phone and could not have been nicer. She listened carefully to my concerns and told me someone would get back to me by Tuesday, which made perfect sense since it was a holiday weekend. Imagine my surprise when Ashley called me back just a few minutes later to let me know that a technician would be at our home within half an hour! The technicians were extremely professional, knowledgeable and neat. I only remember one of their names, Louis, but they were all wonderful. They explained everything clearly and let us know they would need to return to complete the work we wanted done. I later followed up by phone and spoke with Jason to get an estimate and schedule the appointment. He was professional, honest and straightforward. He gave me a "worst-case scenario" estimate and booked the appointment for today. Well, the technicians just finished the job and the actual cost was $400 less than the worst-case estimate! Honest, professional, knowledgeable, excellent customer service, and neat. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend this company. It is refreshing to find a business that truly values its customers and stands behind its work.

I believe that Keating Electric gave me an outrageously inflated and dishonest quote for installing…read morea generator switch, which made me suspect price gouging as a result of Hurricane Sandy. I had ordered my own generator switch kit, which was a do-it-yourself kit. In other words, it was prepared so that a do-it-yourselfer should be able to install it. Of course, it should be a piece of cake for a licensed and experienced electrician. The cost of the switch kit was $350. Keating Electric wanted $2,600 to install it!!! Unbelievable, just unbelievable. I obviously declined to have the kit installed for this outrageous price, and called the company to complain. The service manager called me back and mostly talked about how expensive everything was. The only additional thing I needed from them was a 40 foot wire going from my panel to the outside of my garage. I told him that I could not believe that it should cost $2,600 to install a do-it-yourself kit. The conversation ended with the service manager all but admitting that a simple installation of my kit would not yield a high enough bill for them to be interested in the job. In other words, Keating seemed to be most interested in creating an expensive bill, and didn't seem to care about my needs as a home owner one bit. And this is right after we experienced a lengthy and harrowing power outage because of Hurricane Sandy.
