In addition to the modern digital cameras, they used this lovely very old school camera that produced photos that went really well with the Art Deco theme of our wedding. Our biggest concern with the photography for our wedding was that it would all be indoors, this lacking the sunlight that helps for outdoor photography. Amaranth did a fantastic job with the photos, using the space and unique lighting circumstances. We happily recommend them to any of our friends that are looking. You'll look at your photos over and over again, it's one of the things that you want to make sure it's done well. Make sure they are in your short list.

My husband and I got…read moremarried on August 14th, 2016, and the day just before our wedding, the photographer we had hired cancelled on us because of a family emergency! After panicking and having a mild heart attack, I remembered receiving promotional emails from Deborah and contacted her. I figured it would be a long shot getting a photographer less than 24 hours before the wedding and although she was away on vacation, she responded to my panicked emails and voice mails immediately and completely pulled through for us! When I made that panicked call to her, even though it was the first time we had spoken, she spoke to me as if we were friends for years and promised me that everything would be ok. In a matter of a half an hour, she had a photographer booked for us and kept her promise, everything was ok! I was so relieved! Her photographer Charlene arrived early, spent the whole day with us, and took beautiful pictures! She was non intrusive, respected our personal preferences for what we wanted, and after a bit it felt as if she was also a guest at our wedding celebrating with us! It was a blessing that our original photographer cancelled! I highly recommend Deborah!

She went out of her way to be available for us before and after the wedding and easily blended into the day as we prepped and celebrated. She pulled us aside to make sure we had some of the classic group and couples shots but also captured the candid moments that really made up the day. We were absolutely blown away by the end results! The pictures were interesting and heartfelt, and above all they were BEAUTIFUL. She managed to capture the emotion of the day, in our eyes, in our smiles and in the composition of the pictures. We got to NY about a week before the wedding, and Kirk wanted to meet us in person. At the time we didn't think that was necessary, and seemed low on our list of priorities for that week. How hard can it be to play songs that we've requested, right?? Well, Kirk is extremely professional and insisted on meeting us in person before the wedding, even offering to drive 2 hours to my parent's house in NY. So my mom and I met up with him and I am so glad I did. He is so organized and thorough. He got to know my mom and I and got a feel for our families and style. He had also done work at The Fox Hill Inn before so he was extremely helpful in just giving me a rundown on what to expect with the layout and how the night would flow. He was also available by cell phone the remainder of the week when i had last minute requests. And then of course....the wedding. He did a superior job!! Everyone danced the entire night and repeatedly people told me it was the most fun they have ever had at a wedding. The music flowed so smoothly, and Kirk not only listened to the requests of myself, my mother, my mother-in-law, etc....but even through in a few surprises based on what he learned of me and my fiance through our quick meeting. I couldn't have been happier. I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding day, but if I were to do it again, the first thing I would do (besides pick my groom) would be to hire Kirk Michaels as my DJ and set up a face to face interview!! Future Generations DJ were okay. Prior to the party we had wonderful communication. During the…read moreparty we felt communication was lacking. I felt that the price did not justify the service. I never complained to DJ Wilson about my dissatisfaction because let's be honest the party is done and over with what's the point? I did tell him about the Photo booth which in my opinion was a huge waste of money. The photographer for the photo booth was uninviting, rude and was unapologetic. He clearly did not want to be at a little girl birthday party. We were told that the photo booth package would include a USB card (it did) and a photo book with all the pictures. At the end of the evening when he was packing up he gave me this pathetic photo book. It held 6 pages of photos. I thought no problem, I have the USB card. Sadly when I got home all that was on the USB was 13 photos. What makes no sense is that my book had 20 individual photo's. Still not enough in my opinion for a party that lasted 4 hours. I even questioned the photo booth guy and he said my guest never came over. What??? Here is where the communication was lacking. Common sense, if you are standing there and no one is coming over to the photo booth, wouldn't you have voiced that to either me or the DJ? They could have made more announcements. I shared my dissatisfaction with the next day with DJ Wilson who promised to get to the bottom of this. I never heard back from him. I think the music was okay not great. Again, we can't redo what was done but I would recommend to anyone hiring Future Generations to be specific to your needs. I made assumptions that things would be handled. Also understand what you are receiving. Be specific - don't just list your 20 favorite songs be very specific about which songs you'd expect to hear. If you love 100 songs you better list them. He said list 20 songs then he would play those please others similar. Nope that's not what happened. He played those songs only and some of his own. On the upside DJ Wilson was professional, called us a few times prior to the party, arrived on time and was ready to work. He brought a plasma TV which had pictures of our daughter running throughout the evening. Unfortunately you literally had to stand on the dance floor to see it. Would I recommend Future Generations? No I would not. I think the lack of accountability for the poor service left a bitter taste.
