It came highly recommended from a few friends with lovely locks and I felt relaxed the minute I walked in. When I went a few weeks ago, they still required masks but as of today masks are optional for vaccinated individuals. I had a cut and color with the talented Ashley, one of their senior stylists. She truly listened to and gave me what I wanted, a minimal cut and a natural, low-maintenance color! Thank you! She's worth the price tag. If you can't get in to see her, I hear that the other stylists are great too. Your locks will thank you!

Then at 4pm the day before, the owner texted to cancel. Their stylist couldn't come in, and they said no one else could do the style I'd booked. Emergencies happen. But this salon holds clients to a 24-hour cancellation policy, and I got less than 24 hours' notice for an appointment I'd held for six months. The only alternative was a blowout with another stylist, which wasn't the style I'd booked and planned around. I was in the middle of wedding prep and didn't have time to rework my plans. Not a great way to start my wedding weekend. If you're booking for any important date, I'd look elsewhere.

After hearing about her tenured expertise in the beauty & makeup industry through Emma, the salon owner / manager at Brush, The Salon (in Healdsburg, CA) I was excited to book my bridal makeup trial run with Rachel about a month prior to my wedding to ensure we were on the same page with the natural bridal look I was going for. Rachel listened to what I was telling her in terms of my style, made tweaks & suggestions as needed, and I was so so thrilled with the results. She recommended an Aveda lipgloss shade that I ended up buying & using for my wedding & it was a perfect addition & compliment to my natural beauty look. She was fun, made me feel at ease & relaxed & I was able to be very transparent with her about what kind of look I was going for. My makeup stayed on all day for 12+ hours despite all the sun & tears shed throughout the course of my wedding day! Amidst the craziness, we didn't realize that one of the artists was a no-show until 1 hour in - putting us behind schedule early on! Rachel quickly offered to help all 11 ladies, and did an absolutely fantastic job of keeping me calm/assuring me it'd all work out. My bridesmaids and I started calling her our makeup warrior goddess - she absolutely saved the day. Even more notably, she didn't sacrifice the quality of any of our looks and made everyone feel special, despite the insane time crunch. She also understood our vibe/everyone's desired look with so little communication - I had a group of ladies with very different desired looks (ranging from boho to glam), but at the end of the day, everyone felt like the best version of themselves.
