I found his energy very chaotic and there was never enough time to properly evaluate what I needed. Everytime I was at an appointment it was rushed. I had a filling done and was in pain for months. Everytime something was being "Fixed" it just made things worse and more costly procedures were recommended to me. You are meant to have fillings for years but the doctor can't even totally focus on you while you are there for an hour. This lack of attention caused a lot of problems for me. 8 months later I am still in pain and can't eat properly. I have had to go to another dentist and spend thousands of dollars to attempt to fix all that was done to me. I was not even given the courtesy of having my questions answered. He has never had any fillings done, so the doctor does not even know how it feels to have tooth pain and does not have a good bedside manner. I would ask alot of questions and if they are not answered, choose someone else.

He and his staff thus far have been completely painless. This alone is something I am not use to. They are also very friendly and did not take a big chunk out of my wallet when I went. I recently had a crown replaced and a filling. The wait time was almost nothing. Dr. Patterson is a military man and is very organized and structured. Not having to wait in the waiting room is also a new experiance for me when going to the Dentist. His Dental Hygienist Candy (I love that she's named Candy) is so nice and friendly. She also understood that I have very sensitive teeth and was just great a doing a job that needed to be done that I just am never going to be fully comfortable with, but she was wonderful. After a deeply traumatic and painful experience at another provider, I reached out to Joplin Oral Surgery hoping they could help. Initially, there was a nine-day wait--but once I explained the urgency of his situation, they found a way to get him in the very next morning. That alone speaks volumes about their compassion and responsiveness. From the moment we arrived, the team was calm, professional, and efficient. They listened to the full story without judgment, and while they never badmouthed the previous provider, they clearly knew how to handle the situation and quietly guided us through the steps to make everything right. They performed the extraction of the remaining wisdom tooth fragment (left behind and mishandled elsewhere) and completed the two upper extractions without incident. Everything was explained clearly, handled with grace, and done with the kind of care and integrity you always hope for but don't always find. This was not our first positive experience with Joplin Oral Surgery--both of our daughters had their wisdom teeth removed here, and it was seamless each time. I've also recommended them to friends, and every single person has come back with glowing feedback. Now I can add my son's story to that list. If you're looking for oral surgeons who are not only highly skilled but deeply professional and trustworthy, this is the team to see. They restored our peace of mind--and that is priceless.
