My boyfriend and I closed on our first, beautiful house, in Wenham Ma on Friday-what a long and…read morestrange journey it was. Having never bought a house before we were clue less on everything! We have very busy schedules and very type A personalities ( or at least I do) and after going through two agents very quickly that we didn't click with we found Colleen at Connor Real Estate-almost by mistake. My boyfriend was given a referral by a work associate for a man at Connor Real Estate that no longer worked there- Colleen answered and offered to meet with us that night! We must have seen over 200 houses-starting with thinking we would buy a foreclosure for like 100 grand and fix it up, to maybe something more complete in Lynn for 150. We looked in Salem, Beverly, Marblehead, Ipswitch, Gloucester, Peabody, Saugus & Wenham. Our ideas and requirements changed daily and Colleen was awesome, always available to answer our questions, show us the listings we wanted to see but also finding whatever it was we wanted that week! After one home inspection that went bad, we continued and ultimately bought a completely renovated home in Wenham near Pleasant Pond thanks to Colleen! She assisted us every step of the way, getting financing under extremely rigid deadlines, following up with appraisers, mortgage lenders. We couldn't have asked for a better agent and would recommend her to anyone looking to buy there home in the North Shore. Colleen is the best!

Liars. Shady, lying liars…read more My husband and I wasted what felt like an eternity trying to buy a house from a seller using Connor Real Estate and they were impossible to deal with. The Connor agents that our real estate agent worked with told her that they could help us find an insurance company that would insure a house with knob and tube wiring (and they could help us finance it), they told us that the wiring did not need to be replaced; they told us that it had been replaced (it hadn't). They also refused to update the status of the house in MLS, despite having a signed contract on the house; refused to assist in getting useful answers to questions like "who owns the retaining wall in the backyard?" and "how old is that water filter in the kitchen?". In the end, the house needed more work than we were willing to put in and trying to negotiate the purchase was no longer worth our time, so we walked away and bought a much nicer house in a better neighborhood. To top it all off, after we walked, Connor's agents updated the MLS listing to state that the deal had fallen through because the buyers had credit issues and lost their financing - a straight up lie.

My signature was required on the 6D certification, a dirty 6D document was sent to the realtor from the Swampscott office, and it was completely ignored. This realtor either didn't even sign one, or a fraudulent one was signed at the closing of this unit. Furthermore, the realtor failed to notify the new owners of repairs that needed to be done due to the prior owners refusing to complete them, that was now the new owners responsibility, and failed to disclose that we were literally in the middle of litigation in superior court. This company has defrauded our Trust and have completely screwed the new owners, left a huge debt owed to myself and the Trust, and a huge legal mess. Shame on this company and how they operate. This realtor didn't even have the decency to even communicate with myself or my attorney regarding any of this despite me sending her multiple emails begging to get these issues resolved before the unit closed. I guess this realtor doesn't have to follow Massachusetts Law or abide by the Bylaws of condos they sell and can just do whatever is easiest so they're not inconvenienced. Shame on this company. If I were you, I would find another company to work with. Beware. Fraudulent practices.

I have experience with Mitch Levin which I hired to sell my home in Nahant,MA the worst nightmare! He did not perform as my expectation and instead defamed my character! I fired him after two months, because he did not spend money to advertise my home, just MLS listing and sitting on his BUTT( excuse my language) at home watching Great Britisch baking show on Netflix, (This is what he told my wife) so waiting until someone would come along and see the signage in front of my home and request info! That is how he tried to sell my home. Many time I asked him a copy of my signed contract, never received it! Questioned to show proof of advertisings, could not show proof, but discussed with a associate that I am a difficult client because nothing satisfied me!
